Did you really think the reason the leafs would win is because Samsonov would outplay Vasilevsky lol. Beat it. Didnt stand a chance they should be up 3-1.I told some of you that Tampa didn't stand a chance
Can you imagine if The Leafs win the Cup and the Habs get Bedard?
Gonna have to seek out next level mindfulness.

That is an awful good Bruins team. And a pretty darn good Carolina team.We will see a lot of new leaf fans in this market if they manage to win a cup.
only bright side is we will know who the true fans are in this market if it that happens.
Not so much Samsonov has played well but Vasilevsky has played poorly. An .860 save percentage ain't cutting it in the playoffs.Did you really think the reason the leafs would win is because Samsonov would outplay Vasilevsky lol. Beat it. Didnt stand a chance they should be up 3-1.
I’d still have Toronto as the favourite against every team in the league other than Boston and possibly Edmonton. That is an awful good Bruins team. And a pretty darn good Carolina team.
I don't like to count out Tampa, but that was back breaking, but they're pretty good too.
And Colorado is damn good. Vegas is ok.
The Rangers are deep.
The road is tough and filled with blood that Marner and Matthews might shy away from giving. We'll see...
Boston is huge though and imminent likely. Then the Rangers have a goalie who isn't completely gassed. Colorado are Champs for a reason.I’d still have Toronto as the favourite against every team in the league other than Boston and possibly Edmonton.
oh ya i got money on boston so hopefully they come through. That is an awful good Bruins team. And a pretty darn good Carolina team.

What kind of shitty odds did you get there?oh ya i got money on boston so hopefully they come through.
I mean he has played well and Vasi has been brutal. I think thats what I said. Anyone pretending that to say they predicted that would happen is full of it.Not so much Samsonov has played well but Vasilevsky has played poorly. An .860 save percentage ain't cutting it in the playoffs.
Tampas 4th line has been great... They were getting double shifted in the second period. Are you even watching the games? They have outplayed the leafs. The only reason Toronto is up is goaltending.Obviously fatigue is a factor here, but it looks like the cap and years of 'win now' trades are finally catching up with Tampa. The bottom end of their roster is really grim nowadays.
You pretty much can't use that Bellemare/Maroon/Perry line at 5-on-5 because they're just so far behind the pace. Jeannot has been a complete liability in every game he's played. Nick Paul has been MIA since Christmas.
On defense, Bogosian, Fleury and Raddysh are pretty much all below replacement level players. Ian Cole is only slightly better.
What a decline from when they had guys like Palat, Coleman, Goodrow, Gourde, Shattenkirk, Rutta, McDonagh, and Schenn.
Not sure what to expect from them moving forward - they have very little coming up through their system and basically no cap space to maneuver.
What kind of shitty odds did you get there?
Double shifted? Maroon and Perry each had 2 total shifts at even-strength in the second period. Once the Leafs made it 4-2 they only got on the ice one time after that.I mean he has played well and Vasi has been brutal. I think thats what I said. They get a full summer off and they are going to be a force next year. Thinking they are going to be on the decline with the core they have is silly. Kucherov is a top 5 player in the world and they are deep with tons of other talent in its prime. Point, Sergachev, Colton, Cernak, Cirelly, Hagel are all 26 and under. Vasi is 28... Kucherov is 30, Hedman is 32 and Stamkos is 32.
Yeah Double shifted... Their line went out there twice in a row. They had more than 2 even strength shifts in the 2nd period. Perry has 5 points in 4 games and you think he is no good.Double shifted? Maroon and Perry each had 2 total shifts at even-strength in the second period. Once the Leafs made it 4-2 they only got on the ice one time after that.
People said the exact same thing about the Blackhawks in 2016. About how Toews, Kane, Seabrook, Keith, Panarin, Hjalmarsson, Seabrook, etc. were all still young - younger than that Tampa core in fact - but they were never good again. Certainly never a Cup threat. They couldn't recapture that same level of motivation and they never had the same calibre of supporting cast around them.
I wouldn't bet on that Tampa core ever going on another deep run. Look at the age distributions of recent Cup winners - they almost never have their best players in their early or mid-30's.
They choked away two home ice wins against the softest team in the league. They just lost two overtime games
They’re not firing Cooper for losing against a top 5 team after 3 straight SCF appearances (2 cups) lol.If TB loses and Brisebois decides to fire Cooper, I hope we snatch him up.
TB has too much talent to start being "bad". They've still got healthy mix of elite players (Kucherov, Point, Sergachev, Vasy aside from this year), good vets (Stamkos, Hedman), and solid role guys (Cernak, Cirelli, Jeannot, Paul, Hagel). They probably won't be able to keep Colton but they'll have cap to fill out their dept.h

Firing the best coach in the league because the goalie stinks should get Brisebois fired. 31 other teams are going after him if he's available. If TB loses and Brisebois decides to fire Cooper, I hope we snatch him up.

Boston has been outshot 3 of the 4 games. I don't think they're anything special. Much like the Toronto Tampa series one team has had way better goaltending. Would not surprise me at all if Toronto beat Boston. Toronto is beating a better team right now. Tampa has taken Boston to the woodshed the last few times they've played them. Toronto becomes very dangerous if they win this series. For the first time they actually have a goalie. They've never had a player like O'Reilly. He adds a completely different element. Gives the young group confidence. They aren't looking around the room wondering who they should follow. They actually have a guy that's done it. They know who is taking the big draw they know it doesn't have to be them.Don't get me wrong it's not great but considering Hedman is being held together by chewing gum and they already took out Cernak, the already top-heavy Tampa D is on life support.
And still Toronto was a few bounces the other way from being down 3-1.
I think it's probably done at this point but Toronto really doesn't look like world beaters.
Boston toying with Florida with one hand tied behind their back is really something though.
