1-0 Flames

get the Canucks out asap, how did they even make the playoffs

Once again, it's a shame that they made it in over LAK.

Not that they really had anything to do with LAK being out, at least not at the end there.

It was either Calgary or Winnipeg's spot that the Kings needed to take.

Vancouver has arguably looked worse than Winnipeg did outside of the first two games.

If Calgary DOES make the playoffs again next year, there's no way that Vancouver will also be in again. And I like Vancouver too, but boy have they been painful to watch this series. And then their coach puts in Miller like it's 2010 again.

Did Tyler Johnson not get drafted after totaling 115 points at Spokane?

I'll put on my Captain Obvious hat and say it was a great signing by TB.

I can't understand how anyone could say the Rags could beat the Hawks in a 7 game series with a straight face.

I never understood the NYR hype on our boards.

Their best player scored 17% of their goals and hasn't really had that good of a playoffs in his career (6 goals and 22 PTS in 45 games). He is only averaging 17 mins of ice time (is he hurt?). Odd that nobody really has much ice time on the NYR. Stepan has 19 min and Brassard has 18 min.

The NYR only have 3 players who scored over 20.
Nash (42), St.Louis (21), and Kreider (21).

Toews (28), Kane (27), Saad (23) and Hossa (22)
Tarasenko (37), Schwartz (28), Backes (26), and Steen (24)
Perry (33), Getzlaf (25), Beleskey (22), and Kesler (20)

I would think there are at least 3 teams out West that would be the favorite against the NYR in the finals.

I think I'm well on my way to hitting BleedRed goalie rant bingo tonight

I dislike Miller more than almost any player in the league.

Especially now that Erik Cole is injured and probably out of the league.

Not just the way he plays, he's just a ******* and a piece of ****.

He runs his mouth too much and winds up getting his scrawny ass knocked out.

One player (along with Dustin Brown) that I can't stand rooting for in international tournaments for the USA. I wonder if Ryan Miller's long since irrelevant reputation gets him a spot on the 2016 world cup team?

I used to dislike Jonathan Quick and thought he was a major dick too, but at least he gets in guys faces and backs up his trash talk. I respect him for that. Miller hides like a little *****.

Sam Bennett is darn good for an 18 yr old.

He may make buffalo and Edmonton regret passing on him.

Sedins need a better linemate than Hansen.

The problem with NYR is that this year they seem to be getting a bunch of JUNK for opponents.

People said that about them last year, but they didn't have it as easy last year. It actually took 7 games to take out the Flyers, they almost lost to the Pens, and still needed 6 to take out a Priceless Habs.

This year they got an even worse Pens team than last year, with lots of injuries and superstars that are no shows.

Then they'll have the Capitals next round, the Capitals always lay down and take it from the Rangers. They did in most of the regular season games I saw this year too. Nothing has changed from the playoffs 2 years ago.

They have the 'balanced depth' scoring many wish we had (albeit with one 'star' in Nash) with eight guys having 15+ goals, seven having 45+ points and a defense good enough to sustain TWO 2.2 GAA and +.920 save percentage goalies. Tied for third in goals scored and third in least goals given up, I'd say that's a real contender.

The summer carnivals around here have them.
I bought one at the Denville Fireman's carnival next to the A&P last summer. And almost cracked a tooth.

They used to sell them at grocery stores when I was a kid. I allow myself to eat some junk food and candy as long as I don't go over my maintenance calories.

My go to right now is sour skittles. Really want a candy apple though.

They are one of the worst possession teams in the league. WAY worse then they were last year, and is the reason they don't look good right now.

Playoffs aren't a track meet.

The Rangers haven't looks so great in the playoffs so far. If they don't wake up anything can happen.

They're not playing well against the Pens and they're up 3-1. What does that tell you (unless you want to default to Penguins stink which is fine for now, but eventually people have to stop attributing the Rangers' success to luck)?

Liquid gold sounds like some kind of motor oil or fuel additive.

Who the hell wants to eat something called liquid gold?

Also sounds like it could be some kind of alcoholic beverage or energy drink.

Oh I get that. That why I said they need to wake up. When they face teams that are good they will struggle if they don't get it together. I think they will but if they don't, they could get themselves in trouble.

They have been in control the entire series and find ways to win.

Reminds me of our sweep over Florida in 2000.
Close games vs an inferior team but we won the games.

It's just that during these marathon's of watching hockey, they show the same commercials for hours on every commercial break.

Whether you got on the NBCSN game, or USA/CNBC.

And the liquid gold and Honda geek commercials are really stabbing me.

I could make use of the DVR feature, but then I can't talk about what's going on in this thread with everyone because I wouldn't be in real time.

Penguins really do suck. They are playing putrid hockey.

Pair either team against the two teams playing right now (Nashville or Chicago) and you are watching beatdowns by the two west teams.

This year isn't so bad, but I can't remember if it was this year or maybe the lockout season (which would make sense) that they were playing a rotation of maybe 5 commercials at best.

And every commercial break began with frog protection.
As it got into the SCF, I think I nearly went mad.

I am pretty sure they are STILL doing that commercial.

The Flames will be a pain in the ass to play against even the next round. They have a high compete level and block around 30 shots a game. Also play well in the third period. I hope Vancouver wins a game or two to make the series at least interesting. Will be tough to pull this game for them.

Part of me thinks the Ducks will curbstomp them (the part of me that is gunshy over having picked the Jets to beat them and saw what happened), and part of me thinks the Flames will troll the Ducks (the part of me that still wants to see Bruce win two playoff rounds in a year).

If I HAD to make a prediction for Ducks-Flames atm I'd probably say Ducks in 6...I still think at some point the Flames are going to find they're in the deep end of the pool sooner than anticipated.

They still have frog protection, which has been on for at least 2 years now.

They had the ones with that dude Peggy (was that for Discover too) with Tim Thomas in the cab and Patrick Kane. They had those on for at least a year, then they were finally discontinued.

I'm surprised frog proctection has lasted this long.

Honda guy is really annoying.

The ''GAWN! GIT!'' in the liquid gold commercial is making me a little uneasy too.
