Boy, coach Dean was blunt in his assessment of London's game plan. Totally agree with him:

"Dean called the game one which featured “two teams missing guys, one (the Knights) over there missing four with a clear gameplan to try to drag the game into the gutter.”

“It ends up with what my guess is a huge suspension for their hit on Bryce and that’s just the style of play and the refs mismanaged the game,” Dean said."

I couldn't speculate how the officiating would have been pilloried, if the Greyhounds had lost. Not many fan bases find as many ways to complain following a win, but I've gotta salute Hounds fans, who really do . Had the penalties been assessed as 6 to the Knights, and 0 to the Hounds, I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear a chorus of complaints about the number of calls that were missed.:skeptic::skeptic::rolleyes:

Sounds like London fans finding ways to complain to me.
You never heard me complain. I accept the loss as such, without excuses.
OTOH, the whining emanating is akin to a chorus of tree cicadas during their brief summer mating season.

There haven't been many complaints about the officiating by fans or coaches this season. This game in particular was really bad.

Seeing a player get called for tripping when he quite literally didn't touch his opponent (confirmed after watching video), another player get called for high sticking when he himself took a stick to the face and bled (happened right in front of me), and another get called for bumping the goalie while he had possession of the puck well outside of the crease, is a little over the top. Watch all 3 plays. These are not controversial assessments by any means.sß

It was an awfully chippy game with no less than 3 plays that are worthy of suspensions (Boulton, Nicholl, and Dickinson). You would absolutely agree with this if you see replays.

London, when they are short guys, always tries to mix it up and beat the other team with physicality and effort. Everyone knows this and they know it usually works. You just expect more than 3 powerplays outside of the 2 suspendable head checks and the one where Leonard hauled down Fantino in front of ref. Multiple 2 handed slashes that caused injury were not called.

S. Boulton is not an OHL calibre player. How he has 2 points this year is beyond me, as he has zero interest in playing the puck. He will willingly give the puck away to you just so he can hit you. Now our captain is injured as a result. Boulton will be the one suspended, but it should really be Hunter facing discipline for bringing him in to begin with. This was 100% predictable.

You guys never saw much of Daniel walker a few years back because he was in the east but he’s kinda similar to walker in way where he’s clearly in it only to fight and hurt people. That guy was unreal though. The amount of fights and people hurt from when he played kingston was unreal.

Walker actually ended up going to University of Waterloo, and showed he could actually score as well as fight, and now plays in the AHL with Syracuse.

Did anyone catch the interview with Raftis? I was told it sounds like the Hounds are most definitely big game hunting by his comments regarding the deadline.

Nothing worked here .

Agreed 100%. I say he gets 8 games.

Management is clearly going to add to this group. They were never selling this year anyway, but the stand pat option has to also be off the table now. They better not half ass it. We have lots of good young prospects. They all better not be here after the deadline or heads should roll. Protecting the '25-'26 contending window is NOT priority # 1.

Hes played 18 games, 33 penalty minutes and been suspended 6 others so far in his OHL 'career'.
Pending further review.
Maybe the league needs to invoke a 'reverse exceptional rule' for this type of 'aquisition'.

I’m not sure what you mean but I did just switch to iPhone after being android for 10 years so if it’s posting differently I apologize haha
Lol, no I was just bugging as DWI Dale beat you to it and posted the power rankings earlier, albeit a smaller version of them. Haha.

Carlisle has been very good. I don't think anyone is suggesting we trade him. In terms of a D acquisition, my thoughts are we need to pick up someone who can play in the top 4. We already have 4 of them, but we need to protect against injury. Not sure any of our bottom 3 would flourish in that role.

When healthy, one of those 5 would play bottom pairing.
i was lectured that they had the best 6 in the ohl in the preseason. seeing this confuses me lol

standing pat is a non-starter. been musing over who we might add and wondering if a sibling from Flint might be heading north.

they do have a strong d core albeit some youth that could use a neckbeard upgrade for when games get tougher and as HP alluded to, injury insurance...
