I am assuming Allard will play tonight before heading out for the selection camp? I wonder who will step in as 2C in his absence. Martin? Brown? D'Intino? Sirizzotti?

It might depend on the status of D'Intino. I would give Martin a shot there though. He seems to play better down the middle and I would like to see what he can do on a line with Mignossa and Beck.

I don't anticipate him being back anytime before before the new year from what I've heard

I'd be willing to wager he does not at risk of being injured and missing camp

Crazy stat

A highly inappropriate and incorrect call by a linesman at a key juncture of the game may cost us a point. Very unfortunate.

That and our inability to sink empty net goals.

I wonder how many teams are going to add this year. and how much elite talent is out there?
if we are going to add, i hope we don't get left behind by waiting too long.

the suspense is making me anxious haha

You love to see it. Josh Brown tipping his hat to a Soo Greyhound scout.

As it stands, I don’t see why the Soo Greyhounds should waste assets on picks. I’ve saw enough to know Charlie has it in him, and I don’t want to give up Miller because his future is bright. Cost of goalies are high, and not sure ANY of the top teams make a splash for a Dom type goalie.

Put those assets to strengthening the D and our goaltending will only get better.

Pretty sure im echoing what @HockeyPops has mentioned before

that's the correct path I believe. a serious contender should not be spending limited assets on goaltending.

and while Dom's name had been mentioned earlier in the season, he's been horrible this year. are you really going to move a bunch of picks to get a guy who is letting in almost 4 goals a game and has a save percentage of .875? i sure hope not.

North bays defence sucks that’s why divincentiis’ numbers suck this year. Only bright spot for them on back end has been Nelson but he can’t play whole game. Their offence is carrying them this year particularly that top line of wakely romani and van steensel

You are not correct imo. Being without Mathurin & Cajakovic at this time certainly hurts, but DiVincentiis has not been good all on his own.

I would tend to agree. high GAA might be inflated on account of poor defense but save% being so low is more an indication of a goalie letting in some muffins.

Struggling with rebounds, he is simply not ‘stopping’ the puck like he did previously.

How long have they been out for? North bay gave up 10 goals to kingston in 2 games the depth clearly sucks with them out

Cajakovic missed a couple, then played, missed last night (off to tournament?). Mathurin has been out about three weeks.
I watched almost all of every Battalion game. DiVincentis is the reason for less than expected results.

I don't have any stats to back this up. But Schenkel appears to be playing alot better lately. Maybe lowering his GAA and raising his Save % closer to .900
If this is statistically proven, he is getting better as the season goes on. Adding an older defenceman will only help. Like everyone here, I'm looking forward to see what transpires in the next month with trades. Not only our Hounds, but rest of league.

So what kind of D addition does everyone envision? For me, you aren't pushing Karki, Kudry, Gibby down the lineup. So are we looking for a left shot 4/5 D?
