You might be right....I just don't think they have enough picks to add more than 2 players max and I don't know if that would be enough. Not to mention that leaves you with nothing left going forward. I do think you would get a big return for Gibson next season and should be able to get a decent return for an OA or two but that wouldn't create a surplus. We have seen Raftis be creative in the past (Thompson for 2 players and 1 2nd) so maybe he will find a way to make it work. OA upgrades may be a cheaper option? D'Intino has something like 3 points in his last ten games playing on the top line.
If you by pass players like Owen Beck that command alot, you can get creative with some solid pickups that enhance the lineup just as much as a 'Beck' presence brings

that was a forgettable one last night. Schenkel did his job giving the team a chance while the team flailed around for 2 periods but ultimately the skaters only played maybe 15 minutes of good hockey.
not sure if the ice was bad or our transition was just that bad, but it seemed like the puck was bouncing around the neutral zone most of the night. oh well, try and learn some lessons and move on.

gotta blame someone for the loss. not the players fault. its the reffs and the ice and pucks

Everyone is mad the Hounds are in the top 3 so they’re coming here to project their hate.

That was our worst game of the year thus far and it was a game we easily should have won, in my opinion.

Bumps in the road are expected, I’m interested to see the response tomorrow night.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Miller get the start tonight

Rangers have an off day so they will be well rested for tomorrow afternoon

some of our defensive miscues that other teams weren't able to capitalize on will be exposed by this high octane offense so the boys better bring their 'A' game.

...as I typed this we had a bad turnover and it was in our net within seconds.

I wish we had the confidence in our tenders that kitchener has in parsons.

I can't see us hanging wirh the big dogs this year. These saves have to be made.

i was on the ice at 430 so i only saw the first half but i didn't fault charlie for the first few goals against.

how about 0/6 on the PP?

we might not have gotten championship calibre goaltending but we also didn't get championship worthy offense either. i'm thinking there's plenty of blame to go around but thats just me.

From what I saw we outplayed them for sure. Idk man, I was in the building and those shots should have been saved imo. At least 3 of them. Angles and challenging has to be better. And he absolutely has to start using his stick to make saves. He has the worst rebound control I've seen using his pads for every shot.

Honestly didn't play like the last game of a 5 day road trip. They looked energetic, Parsons was strong as usual but we could have kept it closer with tighter tending. Just my opinion though

fair enough. fair enough.

this is kinda what I saw...

“Special teams, we have a lapse in judgment on the PK. We talk about defending our seam and two skilled players in (Carson) Rehkopf and (Filip) Mesar go through the seam to each other and they give the goaltender no chance on it,” Taylor said.

Taylor added that power play struggles were also an issue in the loss, which included the team being held off the scoresheet during a double minor to the Rangers in the opening period in which the home team held the Greyhounds at bay.

Taylor said not being able to score on the four-minute penalty “killed our momentum.”
