GAME 2:
Out of the lineup tonight for the Greyhounds are Landon Miller, Brodie McConnell-Barker, Ryan Thompson, Ethan Montroy, Owen Allard (injury), Alex Kostov, Dustin Good, and Caleb Van De Ven

Jordan D'intino-Bryce McConnell-Barker-Marco Mignosa,
Tyler Savard-Mark Duarte-Kalvyn Watson,
Christopher Brown-Harrison Ballard-Landen Hookey,
Connor Clattenburg-Daylen Moses-Justin Cloutier;

Kirill Kudryavtsev-Andrew Gibson,
Caeden Carlisle-Matthew Virgilio,
Connor Toms-Luc Brzustowski;

Charlie Schenkel;
Samuel Ivanov (Backup)

-------------------

Didn't get to watch either game. Seems to be some shuffling at centre. How have our new centres looked? Ballard? Moses? Brown? Duarte? How about the defense pairings? Surprised to see Brzustowski lining up in the third pairing. Has the third pairing looked good? Gibson obviously hit the scoresheet, but how did the rest of his game look paired with Kirill?

Duarte is quite a nice addition and brings more to the table than McMullen in my opinion. He's strong and hard to move off the puck. He's also been very engaged and active in the defensive end. I see 20+ goal potential in him.

Ballard is a very smooth skater and has the skill to play the puck possession game that we are known for. He was very noticable and made a lot of plays.

Brown took a bad penalty and looked a bit lost out there at times, but I'm sure that's just rookie jitters.

Toms appears to have made some strides with his decision making this year and was making better passes out of the zone. Hopefully that leads to reduced turnovers.

Other players who impressed me were Schenkel, Virgilio, and Cloutier.

The first line was not very good in either game. Sloppy, lazy and not engaged. Hopefully they get it together.

Looks like a promising young team in the limited game action I've seen so far. There's times when you see the skill and potential, and times when you see the inconsistency and lack of experience. As long as fans keep things in perspective this should be a very enjoyable season to watch as the next generation develops.

I'll be happy to see the boys squeek into the playoffs even if they're in it for the first round to get that experience for next season.....they may surprise us as the season goes on though

they have strong goaltending. First time in a while goaltending is not an issue.
Schenkel is a legit number #1. With strong goaltending they should be in alot of close
games this season. hopefully they will be on the positive side in the one goal games.

No visiting team I like watching more than the Hounds. As I've said before, you have great systems in place, makes for entertaining hockey. And perhaps more importantly, two Londoners on the roster, including the captain. Watching from home tonight but should be a fair share of red and white decked out in the crowd...
Ditto. Although I'll add there's no team we like DEFEATING more than the Knights.
I'm always amazed with how loud and animated even the most conservative of fan gets when the Knights are in town. Even the nice little old ladies turn into raving lunatics screaming at Dale and the refs. :)

We haven't seen many goaltending performances like that in the past few years. I hope to see more of it going forward.

That will certainly be one of the finest goalie battles we'll see this season. Brochu was fantastic and Schenkel was even better.

Known as an offensive D-man, impressed last night with Gibson's defensive game. Thwarted some key scoring chances. Hounds clogging lanes, shot blocking effective.
And, lastly, nothing whatsoever to leave one with even the slightest impression of biased officiating.

That was indeed a rare treat to see. Just let the guys play. I really enjoyed this game.

way to go Charlie!!!

i was on the ice last night elsewhere so I didn't catch the game but watching the highlights it was nice to see a goalie just flat out stand on their head. shutting out the kanigots just makes it that much sweeter.
