you don't even act 30. I suspect you're about 22....at best.

(if you are 30 ... well ... not sure I'd be bragging about that)

You suspect it wrong. I wonder how you would act if a random troll account would call you what he called me. All that poster ever did was bashing Dubas, nothing more. Maybe hes the one whos not even a Leafs fan, just a simple troll.

See if mathews is next. He was ready to sign. Hope it works out well...but said it a few weeks ago. This team is about to implode. It begins with losing the first trade of the core 4 Its coming.
Matthews said that he wanted to sign on Monday, before Kyle gave his I'm not sure I want to be here speech.

Apparently, people can change their mind about things between now and then.

The wrong man at the wrong time.

This is all Tanenbaum's fault. He's the one that supported these clowns all these years. Old men in suits can never admit they've made a mistake.

Dubas is finished as a manager.

He's never getting another job after this. Chayka and JFK, amongst others, never got a second chance. What makes Dubas' spectacular failure any less a spectacular failure than his predecessors?

Don't worry, Dubas will still be able to feed his family.

He certainly used his current role to provide a nice retirement fund. They all, everyone of them, make gobs and gobs of money. That’s all that matters.

It's embarassing the riches they have and still ice a losing hockey team for so many years.

Spezza as a fall guy means nothing. Losing him is symbolic, but meaningless. I want ML$E to fire everyone from Shanahan on down.

To give me enough hope I can start cheering for my hometown team again.
Shanny needs to go too.

But Dubas being gone is enough for me to get back on board. CHOO CHOO

I missed it man. But I just couldn't watch this team.

Just out of curiosity. Do you cheer for the Maple Leafs or Dubas?

Why do you want the dark days? Heck my grandpa with a cigar in his hand would have run the org better than dubas did with the amount of salary cap he was afforded, the kind of players he was given (matthews, marner, nylander, rielly) and the amount of assets available back then (picks, kapanen, johnsson, etc.)

I will never freakin' understand how in the blue hell dubas gets any credit to begin with; but with all this doom and gloom because the failure of a GM is not returning should be a joyous occasion.
I asked the same thing in the other thread. Seems like a loser move to want your team to fail because your favoritest GM f***ed around and found out.

Figure it out ffs

To be seen what kind of character he has. Is he part of the "righting the ship" crew or does he decide to abandon the ship

Do you think I cheered for the Leafs when I became Leafs fan when I was 12? I dont care about the person, unlike you do. I care about the fact that the very first results came while he was the GM, after all those miserable years under JFJ, Nonis and Burke. I bet you dont even know what I'm talking about, you didnt experience those years, otherwise you would understand.

I don't call you anything. Only you threw out insults and now acting like a "victim".

I am a Leaf fan.......that trumps being a Matthews, Marner, Sundin, Gilmore, Clark, Potvin, Cujo, Roberts, Tucker, Kabrele fan. I root for everyone associated with the origination to have success while they are here doesn't stop me from using critical thinking skills do evaluate what needs to be done.

Its amazing man.

I did not like one bit what dubas bit; yet I never cheered for the team to lose or bad things to happen. my post history in GDTs is proof enough.

its baffling how some posters are wishing bad for the team just because we parted ways with a loser of a GM who hasn't accomplished anything with the team. On the contrary, he ruined the best chance Leafs had had since 1993 conference finals.

Why do they think people blamed dubas for all the failures? who in their right mind would have blamed dubas if leafs had had any success? we all knew from the get go that dubas screwed the pooch. we called it out many times but people called us dubas haters.

You mean assessing things accurately :)
I don’t mean that at all. This certainly isn’t a black and white kinda thing, but the anti-Dubas crowd has been notably more aggressive in tone and scope than the pro-Dubas crowd is here.

I've been a Maple Leafs fan since I'm 12, now I'm 30, a kid from a little town in Hungary who stayed up to watch the Andy Wozniewski and Ron Wilson and Simon Gamache Maple Leafs teams at 1AM local time, someone who after more than 18 years got to live his dream and finally made it to Toronto watching the Maple Leafs from the press box as a media member, walking in the locker room and sitting in the quiet Scotiabank arena hours before the first playoff game this year.

So shut the f*** about who I am. I love the Leafs, thats all I ever did. I had seen the dark days, and in my opinion, they are coming back.

But dont you ever call me again a schtick, you piece of shit

@Noodles - did you google what schtick means yet?

Hasn't he been President for 9 years now?

Coles Notes of his tenure:

Fired Carlyle
Hired Horacheck
Fired Non-issue
Fired all coaching staff
Hired Babcock
Hired Lou

Lou left
Promoted Dubas
Fired Babcock
Hired Keefe

Sounds like he's Fired a few bullets.
How many bullets do executives normally have before they get canned themselves?
Until today all those bullets were last fired 4 years ago so he still has time. It seems to me like he has to be on the clock, but keep in mind the Board was allowing him to offer an extension to KD just a couple of days ago so they don't seem to see the same issues some of the fanbase does. I would have fired him this year as soon as he said he was extending Dubas so I have no clue what their mindset is. Under the worst circumstances he will at minimum get a couple of years with the new GM.

Incorrect!

Results came while under Lou and Babcock.

Dubas didn't do anything impressive, on the contrary he ruined everything!!!
