Please Rangers, save me from this NFL season.

I fully acknowledge this is a reach, but when edge was mentioning trade targets that we were not talking about I wonder if Drury has reached out to dorion about Brady and what the cost would be IF he feels Brady could play center in the NHL. In his draft I believe some teams felt that he could potentially do that

Depends what you consider a reach I suppose. I'm sure with the current Tkachuk situation many GMs have at least reached out to see what he'd cost.

As someone who watches the Sens just as much as Rangers I'd prefer to keep Brady on the wing though.

Minnesota has to contend with the 12 million and then 14 million of dead cap space they will incur over the next three years, re-signing Fiala won't be cheap. If Seattle doesn't want to suck for long then some of the choices they made in the expansion draft are REAL head scratchers, and adding Zib doesn't make them a contender anytime soon (and he knows that). Anaheim just publicly announced that they are rebuilding so they are not giving a 29 year old zib 9x8. Kings need another 9 million dollar center like we need a 9 million dollar right defenseman. Of those teams you mentioned, I'll give you Stars and Panthers, but the issue with those teams is that not one of them play their home games in NY and that is something that only the Rangers can offer to a guy who wants to live a certain lifestyle. The point I'm making here is that there really aren't that many teams that can go all in on that contract.

I do think this factor is a bit overstated by our fanbase. When not on the road, the guys spend most their time in Westchester near the practice facility and regional airport. The Rangers (and Knicks) offer their younger players furnished rental apartments in Westchester, and they take them. There is just not that much down time during the season, and the guys tend to use their breaks and offseason to vacation or to go back to their home states/countries. It's not as much of a big city playboy lifestyle as one might think it would be.

Zibanjad lives in Manhattan

Zach Jones is making life very difficult for Drury and Turk.

Hes confident with the puck and much like Fox, he doesn't rush his decisions. Makes the right play most of the time.

Hes got a little more competition for that 3rd LD spot than Nils does on the Right side, but when adding rookie camp to the pro camp, hes making a hell of a case.

Could be a very good trade chip for either Detroit or Florida

Gallant already said he doesn't care much about handedness on D. He could just win the spot as 3RD. It's funny. Already this preseason we have a ton of quotes from players saying they can easily play any position (Oshie, Marner, Dube for sure have discussed it/tried other spots) yet according to the fanbase it's absolutely impossible and you can only play one position and never change.

I'm not in that camp.

I'm strictly looking at the position hes listed as playing and looking for teams that could use a LD.

You are 100% right in that he could very well win that last RD spot.

Like I said, hes making life very difficult for the NYR brass

Zac Jones has work to do on the defensive side of the puck and we want to play him on his off side? Smh.

I think when you talk about players moving to a different position, those guys are pretty unique and mainly already established.

If Jones is making this team, to me its over Nemeth for the 3LD spot
