Top six includes the second line. Middle six also includes the second line.

Here to help!
Right...

"Top six forward" = should be on the 1st line or 2nd line

"Middle six forward" = should be on the 2nd line or 3rd line

"Bottom six forward" = should be on the 3rd line or 4th line

So I'm saying that even if he's on the 2nd line, he's closer to a 3rd liner than a 1st liner.

What he should be on an NHL level team isn’t the same as what he is on this shit team.

He’s undeniably a top six forward on this shit sandwich.

We’re just looking at in different ways. Bill says more than enough stupid shit to have to nitpick this.

Maybe others use it differently but when I use those terms I'm talking in a general sense based on their ability as a player, not specifically about the team they're on.

Like there's no way in f***ing hell I'd ever call Hayes a "top line forward", even with his current usage.

Haha this thread is awesome. I don't care for anyone involved, but they're accusing Meltzer of stealing an article name titled "Flyby." It's all so stupid, it's fantastic.
