They don’t lack depth up front? This is probably the first time in years that forward depth is shabby. We lack high end skill, have a handful of decent players, then the platoon of substandards.

The made the face of the franchise a dinosaur coach who’s both a clueless idiot and horrible person who players all across the league agree don’t want to play for. Then they hired a commentator who’s one of the dumbest human beings on the planet to be the guy in charge of the whole thing… who is now hiring all his brainless friends and happily admitted that he doesn’t want to get positive value in trades.
In the absolute best case scenario, this is not going to get better for a very, very long time. More likely: never. You all need to shift your focus to other sports or hobbies because the franchise you loved is dead. It’s been infested at all levels with pure incompetence, literally from the tippity-top to the absolute bottom. A resurrection and return to relevance is going to require a (maybe literal) act of god.

1.) Playing prospects is not a viable rebuild strategy because you want to play vets to boost their value (despite the team showing no interest in trading them?).
2.) The 4th line is actually fine because it will take on the tougher minutes. (Sure. Pretty please match them against top lines.) And prospects shouldn’t play on the 4th line.
3.) The Flyers don’t need a 1C prospect because they have Gauthier. 1D is more important.
