This is all on top of the fact that Son himself just isn't playing well.

Historically, Son has been allowed to run into space on the left wing. This was true under Poch, Mourinho, and even last year under Conte. This year, Conte has instituted "his" system, which calls for the LWB (usually Perisic) to be the highest player up the field on the left hand side. When Sessengon plays, he usually doesn't start as high, but the idea is the same - Son is supposed to tuck inside and play with his back to goal and facilitate play up field. This is essentially what he's worst at and minimizes what he's best at.

Don't get me wrong, he's not capitalizing on the few chances he is getting, but he's being asked to do something he's not great at.
Yeah, it's weird. For a while last season Conte seemed like the perfect fit for Tottenham. The team was winning and Son was scoring like crazy.
Maybe he lacks the tactical flexibility to adapt when things don't go so well. When you play a defensive-minded counter system and you somehow concede more goals than any other team in the top half of the league, maybe it's time to make a change.

They need to move TAA up the field...this summer start training him to play on the midfield

I think he could play RM right now without even thinking.

Interestingly, Robertson actually plays slightly further forward than TAA and is covered for more by the CBs and CMs as Liverpool slide over to the left more than the right.

I get why as want to give counter space for TAA and Salah on that RW. It is on purpose.

But it does expose TAA a lot, and I think that is part of the reason he gets a lot of stick on D, he is often 1v1 with a winger as Salah is so high on the pitch.

It is also part of the reason Klopp defends him a lot. TAA at times being exposed over the last few years is part of his tactical set-up. And when they were a better overall team it worked amazingly well.

Rashford has become a pretty good player now that Ronaldo is out of his way. Looks dangerous everytime he has the ball.

Sure, but this good? He was always able to score goals, but now he looks like a real difference maker.
Yeah, but you could also say that United look like a different team now. But he definitely looks to be growing as a player.

If I remember correctly he was a midfielder and Klopp turned him into a fullback to get him in the lineup. I think you are spot on though... he needs to move up in the pitch.his passing is so good

Except Antony. He still looks like a waste of money.
He had an awful game. Sucks knowing Garancho is on the bench

True. If I'm anti United that doesn't mean I'm pro Arsenal necessarily, right?
We hate everyone equally
