Top 10 Prem ExPts table btw:

City: 45 (+0)
Arsenal: 42 (-8)
Newcastle: 37 (-2)
United: 35 (-4)
Brighton: 33 (+2)
Tottenham: 32 (-4)
Brentford: 31 (+1)
Liverpool: 30 (+1)
West Ham: 29 (+11)
Chelsea: 27 (-2)

Jeez that is horrifically bad luck from West Ham. Not sure seen such a big difference in years.

Guess the good 2nd half of the season bets would be:

City to win with Arsenal falling off.
West Ham to come top 10.
Not sure where the -8 comes from tbh. The only game I would say the team was lucky to get 3 points was Leeds.

I would say that City's had some bad luck though. They could have more points.

I guess it is because there have been a lot of "close" games in ExGF... where they have been the better team in basically every game it is often 55-45 or so in terms of balance, so going off previous seasons etc would expect more draws and losses in games where say 0.3-0.5 or so ahead.

Whereas City have basically had 3 bad games and dominated most games in ExGF. That is the only thing that makes sense.

@Starat327 gonna need a Jorginho scouting report

Lol. Honestly, I think he'll nestle into Arteta system really well. We tried to use him in a more advanced role than he could handle.

Can we take a second and appreciate Moises Caicedo putting an open transfer request on twitter touting how proud he was to go for a world record fee, only to stay at Brighton though? Lol.

Poor Ziyech. Last summer his move to Ajax didn't materialize and now this. Guy's stuck at Chelsea.

I wonder how those Brighton fans will react but I'd rather an experienced stop gap anyway. I want to throw all the money at Bellingham in the summer.

I really can't see the club get into a bidding war with Real Madrid and desperate Liverpool.

Declan Rice is more likely. He wants to leave, he wants to stay in London. He's the guy.

Yup. He'd have been the ideal target but I think it'll be hard to convince him for anything but liverpool or real. Selfishly hoping he picks Real and we can swindle them our of Camavinga. Lol.

Rumors are Artetas convinced Rice to go Arsenal this summer...

I like Rice, but if we're spending 100m I want a star. Adding 20-30m shouldn't really mean much.

I was hoping you guys didn't get Enzo so he could be the target for Real instead of Bellingham. Seems like Camavinga isn't going anywhere anytime soon though.

Yeah, Rice is probably a bit overrated, but he's a good player and I like his personality and his intensity. He seems like the perfect Arteta player.

I'd take Bellingham over him too though. He's the total package.

If they get Bdllingham, someone is going to ask to leave. There's no way to keep the young kids happy if they keep Kroos, Modric, T houameni, Camavinga, Valverde and Bellingham all there. Someone will want to get playing time somewhere and I think Camavinga would be the odd man out, even if it's a loan to let Modric rude off in to the sunset one last year.

I'd happily take another Real midfielder on loan, convince him, then buy him for cheap the next season.

Gotta admit I feel for Ziyech, and Hutchinson to a smaller degree. Both should have had loan moves taken care of, though the counter argument is that PSG shouldn't have waited til the last day to orchestrate it.

So...why exactly am I supposed to like this MLS deal with Apple TV? $100 a season for access to every MLS game - who watches MLS outside of their own team?

It blows my mind that people are excited about this - getting continuously nickeled and dimed for every streaming service and having TV shows move between platforms will end up just as expensive and more annoying than cable is now.

Wait - AND I don't get Ted Lasso with this???? I have to pay extra again?

Isn’t Rice the guy you wanted to buy 5 years ago? He has to be getting up in age, right? I feel like he has been talked about for awhile and as you said, if splashing the cash there are better options

You must be thinking of someone else. Rice just turned 24 this month. He's just entering his prime.
He's been around for a while though. I think he's been a first team player for West Ham since he was 18. Don't think he was ever linked with Arsenal until now though.

I think he would be a great long term Xhaka (or Partey) replacement.
