I f***ing love snow. Especially blizzards.

Any of you bastards remember the Blizzard in ‘93? That was epic. The great thing about that blizzard was the fact that the asshole public school systems in Nassau county didn’t believe in snow days.

There was 2 feet of frozen snow on the ground and all we got was like, a 2 hour delay.

Wanna trade places? Utica averages around 100 or so inches. When I lived in NJ for school the winters were a joke.

just shoveled it. it was a workout. very heavy snow.
Yeah that was worse than I expected. I saw the snow blowing in the wind all day and thought it was the light, powdery type of snow. I was wrong. Took me forever to shovel, and there was a layer if slush underneath that I kept slipping on at the end of my driveway. Plus the huge boulders of ice-snow that the plow blocks the end of the driveway with are a pain in the ass to break up and shovel.

BIG Snow Storm heading our way, predicted to begin sometime late Sunday that could last several days until Tuesday....

News hasn't been hyping this one as much as they should, but a lot has changed in the last 12 hours and it looks like we are going to get a boat load of snow, more than the December storm.

Could easily see the city and around getting a foot of snow or more, there could be several hours where we see 1-2 inches an hour. Worst will likely be around Monday evening, just in time for the Rangers/Pens game at MSG.

Things can still change in the next 24-48 hours, but it's beginning to look like a big boy...

Where I live is ne PA is gonna get walloped. Say 20+ and even more so for the more inland areas. This is going to be a fun storm for most ne regions .

WOW, media is really out to lunch with this storm so far. There is high potential now for most of the NYC and surroundings areas could end up with a foot of snow, much higher in other areas. Still need a few more models to come out over the next 8 hours but by the end of the night I think local news will start to sound the alarm and admit they were under playing the storm.

I remember the snow drifts being so high after the storm that one of my (really dumb) friends thought it would be cool to jump off the roof of our school gym into one. Spoiler alert - it was f***ing cool.

I also recall building a pretty intense tunnel system/hideout in one of the snowdrifts. We came back the next day and found the ceiling of our hideout covered in brown stuff and smelling pretty weird. Turns out the older kids from my neighborhood found it and turned it into a snowy hotbox.

The 90s were the best.

Winter Warnings just went out! Enjoy the snow! Monday night is going to be a disaster in the City, I guess it's good there is no fans because they probably would have ended up postponing the game. Well I guess they could still potentially postpone the game if the workers can't get in.

...WINTER STORM WARNING for NYC IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM
EST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 14 to
18 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

I'm sure there are examples, but that would feel like a first. Reporting snow storms on Long Island feels like the 'Boy Who Cried Wolf.'

It's odd because they always seem to hype the small ones up, but this one has the potential to easily be the worst snow storms in years and it's barely making headlines. People are going to be in for a shock tomorrow.

Looking at that chart and seeing there's colors for 96 inches....I dont even think Winnipeg gets 96 inches lmao

Maybe Snowstorm HF can bring us together after all the rest of this morning’s drama

It’s too bad there are no fans in the stadiums for Monday, I always love getting cheap tickets to the snowstorm games on the secondary markets. Even if they were always oddly quiet. The shorter lines for beers and the bathrooms were nice, too.

Ugh this is my first year pretending to be an adult and I dont get snow days anymore. Am not looking forward to this.

Upped the snow again to 21 inches or more in and around the city.

Going to be very unlikely the Rangers play tomorrow, employees are not going to be able to get to the Garden.

Why are the maps still so far apart?

4-6 or 18 inches in Southwest Connecticut. o_O

I grew up in Northeastern PA, and the blizzards of '93 and '96 were amazing. My older brother and I were jumping off the roof of the house into snow drifts, haha.
