Don’t get why they have power lines above ground in the northeast with snowstorms and seasonal gusta that knock out power. Why can’t they do it like in Florida — lines underground? Never lost power while I lived there, even during hurricanes.

Florida is as flat as a pancake, putting underground wires on a sloped surface is a bitch and a half.

(Source- tried to run power from farmhouse down hill to barn)

I grew up in Northeastern PA, and the blizzards of '93 and '96 were amazing. My older brother and I were jumping off the roof of the house into snow drifts, haha.

I remember these. I arrived in NYC in ‘92 and afterward thought these were normal.

In ‘96 I actually had an interview scheduled in midtown. Coming from Brooklyn it took me hours to get there only to learn that interview was canceled because the interviewer didn’t show up.

More likely the game will be postponed tomorrow. Get the players and workers in the Garden tonight

So already have about 12" of snow on the ground (I am about 10-15 minutes as the crow flies from Manhattan - in Essex County, NJ). Did a first pass of our block with the snowblower. This one is gonna be a big one.

I'm in Bergen County, NJ and we're already at about six inches. The major part of the storm hits from, 12-5. Guess we'll see what happens.

Normally I LOVE a huge snowstorm but I have some important stuff to get done in the next couple of days and I really can’t have everything shut down. Why couldn’t this happen next week?

Out here in Monmouth County, we've probably had 6-8 combined from last night into just now. Clearing off the work van, my car, the wife's car...wew.

I'd venture to say that the game is on tonight.

With the uncertainty of Covid and the fact that there are no fans anyway I think they will try to get it in
