Why are the maps still so far apart?

4-6 or 18 inches in Southwest Connecticut. o_O
I am no expert on the subject but I have learned a few things from reading the forums to know more more about approaching snow storms.

It will all come down to where the Low sets up, the precip line and finally banding. Banding is why some locations are crushed, they get hit with waves of intensity.

This was across the street from me during that storm in 93. There was so much snow plowed into this corner here, that the stop sign was literally a couple feet lower than the top of the pile.

We made a tunnel which lead to a giant opening. One of the asshole parents in the neighborhood ended up destroying it, probably for our well being.

The thing I worry about the most is losing power. There were Asplundh trucks on my block this week with guys cutting down branches so hopefully they removed any in danger of bringing down power lines.

maps still changing.

can’t get a consensus 12 hour forecast but glad we have all of Global Warming figured out.

Jack Johnson probably shovels snow by shoveling snow from his lawn onto his driveway instead of the other way around

hilarious.

. . . if only we had Marc Staal contributing with an off ice replica snowman of himself as kids sled by without obstruction. ADA could tweet about it.

Everything still looks pretty much the same as 8 hours ago. Think the whole metro area ends up with at least 12 to 21 inches. City will probably be in the upper middle and get 16-18.

Don’t get why they have power lines above ground in the northeast with snowstorms and seasonal gusta that knock out power. Why can’t they do it like in Florida — lines underground? Never lost power while I lived there, even during hurricanes.
