Curious for the Slovakian posters, how big is the WJC in Slovakia?

I know the WHC in May is popular, but how about the WJC?

Good first period by the Slovaks. Keeping it 1-0 after the first period against a team coming in hot. The goal probably was preventable as well.

I have always loved Miller and Ferraro and they seemed to have been universally praised until sometime in the last year or so. It is kind of inevitable with the internet I suppose. I like a little bit of personality with my commentators. They aren't calling the game on radio I can see the ice myself. Elevate the big moments and don't be obnoxious and I am happy. They check the boxes.
Ferraro is great for the WJC but is brutal to listen to for Leafs games. Not sure if he is a homer or knows he is playing to their fan base but it’s cringe worthy.

Not only does Slovakia have 3 sixteen year-olds on the roster (and a 17 year-old), but the 2005 crop looks very promising also. Could be a very competitive Slovak team at the World Juniors in a couple years.

Thought Byram-Drysdale looked good.

Guhle was excellent that period again.

Perfetti looked more engaged and was generating chances.

Still no Byfield sightings, completely invisible out there. He really needs to step up and do something or the criticisms will get louder.

Massive team in terms of height too, they’re always a huge hockey team.

Not a great period but Canada clearly dominating possession. Slovakia has done a great job defensively to limit high danger chances and they are playing very disciplined. Canada needs to get a powerplay and try and open things up.
