Only 9 shots on goal.. would like to see more ...Lots of blocked shots so Slovaks are working to get in the lanes

Still don't see much offensive chemistry yet, no leading guy game breaker either, losing Dach may hurt us more then we initially thought.

I don't care about the 16 goal german game, we all know what went down there.

They’re almost always the biggest team. It’s funny because they’re super young this year too.

Something in the water or Slovakian potatos. What type of meat dishes do they feed these kids? lol

I envy Colorado. We all know they’re one of the elite teams in the league but seeing guys like Newhook and Byram play in this tournament and realize they have these guys still coming on elcs.... Gonna be a hell of a task to stop that team.

Hard to see them scoring in this match except on the PP. Wouldn't be surprised if Canada wins by 7-8 goals.

Slovakia with two decent scoring chances 5 on 5 to start the 2nd. Nice to see you were on point.:)

Yet another good defensive play by Guhle.

Ugh now Perfetti takes a penalty after Canada gets hemmed in.

So far not a bad hockey at all. Slovakia's playing with a well organized defensive system, they have been physical, communication between players works. It's going to be a lot about how long they can keep this system and whether they can skate at this level for 60 mins. If they manage to play the entire game like this, it may be not easy for Canada. Some breakaways opportunities always occur, and as long as the margin in score remains close (1 or 2 goals), anything can happen.
This is how I was suggesting the Czechs approach their Big 5 opponents... we can't keep up but we can slow it down, not match chance for chance and just clog it up. It's ugly but can work. Maybe our whipping will humble us into being a much 'lower event' team!
