Makes me wonder what would happen if we had Cajkovic and our best centre Myklukha (not suited for todays game)

Makes me wonder about if we had Owen Power and Alexis Lafreniere.

Edit; Or Kirby Dach.

Weird post considering Cozens has been the best player in the entire tournament so far, and Byram was very good today.
:) Byram handles the puck like hot potato in the D zone, Cozens is a classic grinder playing first line minutes for some unknown reason. Byfield... no one noticed him so far.

This roster does not have any close comparables to e.g. Zegras, Caulfield, or Podkolzin. Maybe Levi is a single bright spot. Semifinals is the ceiling.

Hell of a game from drysdale too. He really should have gone higher. Maybe even second overall. I can understan passing him over if you dont want a dman butbi think a few teams slept on him.

Podkolzin is nothing. Canada has many guys as good as him.

Reactions: Tutu to
Kaslik played 21 minutes, more than any other Slovak player, including the defensemen. He won a lot of faceoffs too. I like him between Chromiak and Slafkovsky. That line has the capacity to do some damage against Germany and also Finland.

Kreskin sees all.

Canada blows out Germany and people are upset. Canada keeps it close and people are upset. Lose-lose situation.
Canada flunked on slavakia exactly because they turned a great practice game into an ego trip.

The coach should of done some creative line work in yesterdays game. Instead he now has to rework his lines for the 3rd game of the round robin.

It was 20 on 14, only an idiot would run 4 lines against them.

Should of had 2 lines per period, would of been great for player development. Now Canada's clearly way behind Russia. We haven't played a real game yet, and Russia's KHL has been active all season.

Byram simplified things and played very well in this game.

Cozens also had a solid performance.

Caufield sees his impact come and go. He’s inconsistent.

Some of the hot takes here are ridiculous.

And even more next year since all of them could play.

This is what you get overhyping first round picks like Byfield, Cozens, Byram, etc. and basically guarating them roster spots. I can't believe Canada cannot ice better players.

If only they took a page out of the Finland playbook. We just have not seen prospects from Finland being overhyped on these boards.
