If the Wings had to pay a 2nd to get rid of Walman, then Zegras better be coming back with Gibson for future considerations.

Trouba for Copp??
Would that be reported somewhere? Or would it all be behind the scenes?I mean I would assume one of the considerations bare minimum is we are getting to swap our first round pick or at least protect our pick from being selected in front of us by San Jose.
Even with the strange end to the season surrounding Walman, I do think the future considerations are more than the usual throw away here.

Yzerman turns around, trades for Morgan Reilly, and Toronto signs Montour
Shoot, hadnt read your post. But Im of a like mind. Furious indeed. If this move is to make room to re-sign Gostisbehere, I'm going to be furious.
Ghost is a better version of Walman that can play both sides. I just don't want to pay him, but for the people saying Walman was a our second best defender, for a little while yes. Then his game fell off a cliff, that did happen it seems a lot of people missed the version of him that wasn't trying from February on. I get that he got nicked, but he missed on a lot of effort plays in March, it appears they have moved on from him as a result. If this move is to make room to re-sign Gostisbehere, I'm going to be furious.
Really hope this wasn't a sacrifice given up to be able to re-sign Ghostisbehere. Has to be something else to this, but please not that.

It's probably as simple as sending them whichever of blackwood/Vanecek are doing better 10 games in for Husso.I mean I would assume one of the considerations bare minimum is we are getting to swap our first round pick or at least protect our pick from being selected in front of us by San Jose.

There are times when they announce it later with the league. Most the time we hear this there is no reason to really follow up. We will see if this is a case where there really is an attached value. Low end I would think it prevents them from picking the guy we like at 14 with us picking behind them. It could be more, the waiver priority claim is probably a good one if they know somebody they like is hitting the market and San Jose can scoop that person up for them.Would that be reported somewhere? Or would it all be behind the scenes?
Does the league actually enforce future considerations deals

Yzerman would get guys shipped out as a player that took plays off, so this isn't very surprising he has very little time for it as an executive.Mantha, Vrana, Walman... anyone see the trend?
sjs must be sending something to a 3rd team whom then sends something to detroit . yes im stoked to get the stupid griddy dance routine gone but walman is a solid dman with power skating and shot on a good contract .
