Not sure about Q. He resigned from fla due to what's going on with the sexual assault allegations from Chicago.
Unless he gets off I'm not even sure myself would touch him due to optics

It’s probably the right thing to do but I don’t see us doing it. No coincidence that Vegas also fired their coach. Could Trotz end up in Vegas? Very likely. Coach to executive career at some point. He can probably mild that Vegas style to his.

Well I'm hoping mlse can flex some of the $$ muscle and keep him out of the dessert. I guess bottom line is Trotz can pick and choose where he wants to go. We should make him an offer he can't refuse hahaha

It's is not looking good for Q and bowman. What a crazy story that is.

There's nothing I want to see more than for Eichel to finally get out of Buffalo to become the 150 point star everyone told us he was going to be only to immediately get Trotz as his head coach and be forced to do nothing but grind for 18 minutes a night.
 
The more I think about it the more I am convinced nothing major will happen. Shanny loves Dubas. Keefe is Dubas’s guy. Same Mind frame. Same hockey outlook.

Someone mentioned the culture of this Leafs organization is all lovey dovey positivity crap. Pats on the back and let’s try a little harder next season type of atmosphere.

Besides we are restricted by the cap because Dubas built this team that way.

Only change will be more plugs coming in to fill up third and fourth line spots.
 
Barry Trotz would do wonders in TO. I just don't see it, though. Maybe a 3 or 4 year deal to close out his coaching career in the Peg. Other than that, unless the $$$ is absurd, I can't see him moving on for very long.
 
It's a tough call as others have said - Keefe is a good coach, but Trotz would be a solid step up, no disrespect to the current coach who I actually like.

Room and system needs a shake-up, and this is the opportunity to do so in a very visible way without instantly giving up on any players (although some movement would follow for sure).

If he wants to come here I think it would be good to have more expereince, Keefe will find a job somewhere. But who would you choose if Sullivan becomes available? I'd lean more toward him if it was possible.

Are you f***ing serious? They aren't even the worst GM and coach the Leafs have ever had... In fact, I doubt they're bottom 5.

Trotz coached the Caps to a Stanlry Cup win and the Caps were more of an offesive team than defense. Trotz would adjust his system. On offense he would attack the net much better than what the leafs do and he would definitly improve the defense. Trotz has won with solely defesive teams and with offensive teams.
