So what top-six center is OTT sending with Pinto, and how much is it going to cost the Habs?

Ott isn’t trading Pinto they have zero cap space to take on a player and the aren’t in a position to be looking for prospect. Pinto will be in there line up. Habs should just be looking to take a contract as along as the sweetener is worth it…
The only issue is that I think Ottawa should have been able to make room but there trying to low ball Pinto since they have all the power in this negotiation.

calgary 1st and xhekaj
Lol. Just think you one second. Would you do a potential top 10 pick, maybe even 1st overall depending how things fall. Plus a rare young beast D for Harvey Pinard?

No wonder you hide your profile. I would too with proposals like that.

Don't think Calgary's pick will be a top 10 in 2025 , probably close to a mid pick #14 to #20
About Jackeye i would not trade him for Pinto 1 vs 1
But yeah that's a troll proposal

I hear yea and chances are it's not a top 10 or 1st, but still slight chance. That slight chance alone is not worth Pinto. Then add the one of the toughest young D's in the league. These Sens fans are something else. Pinto has same value as Harvey Pinard. In fact, Pinard per 82 had better stats and least is playing this year.

Guhle or another young, ELC good defenseman (Harris???) plus a high draft pick IF all the other more likely options fail for whatever unknown & unlikely reasons. It's going to be very costly if it's Montreal as the trading partner.
:laugh::laugh::laugh: If that's what your asking than Ya we'll just take Sanderson and call it a night.
See we can be ridiculous to.

i don't think calgary is going to finish bottom 10. i think bubble team is more likely. a mid-late 1st + fan favorite 3rd pair seems fair to me. it's about the same they paid for newhook.

i don't think you understand the value of Arber ,, not a whole lot like him in the NHL
Pinto on the other hand as plenty

didn't he get demoted at the start of the season?
no ??
The reason why he is on the third pair is because of Matheson and Ghule 2 awesome D
But Arber is better then the whole right side , Savard - Kovasevic - Barron - Harris

Wondering what the cost would be to acquire Pinto from Ottawa to Montreal. I know they’re divisional rivals with a strong dislike for each other (fan wise anyway), but the Habs have a need for a top 6 Center with Dach being injured, and have a ton of picks/cap space that could be used to take on a contract. Ottawa needs cap room badly and could acquire a decent return for Pinto while shedding cap. Is there any way to make a reasonable deal that would help both sides?

The Canadiens don't need a Top Six centre at all. Dach will return next year and they have Suzuki/Dvorak/Monahan/Evans and Newhook, if need be.

Not even close. Newhook got a 31st and a 2nd round pick. So a mid 1st let's say, which potentially can be a top 10/1st as I think Calgary is going downhill, plus Xhekaj as a freebie I guess with your logic ontop. You do realize how dumb that proposal is don't you? If not, please continue to hide your profile. Everyone should be spared your previous posts.

Xhekaj is about a 3D/4D and offers so much more that any team would love to have. Nobody would trade Xhekaj straight up for Pinto.

Even your own managment does not want to pay anything for this guy. Even they know his worth. Usually means much more to story than we know.

xhekaj was 8th in icetime among habs dman last season and 6th this season. how does that equal a #3/4 defenseman. habs have a bottom 5 defense core in the league too. im pretty sure sens dont touch xhekaj for pinto straight up.

He was a rookie D last year. Takes a lot of PIM as he fights too which decreases his ice time. Not saying he is a top D, but he is a solid D, and value for him is higher than a dime a dozen Pinto that even your own management does not think he is worth more than 1 mill a year.
