Florida has been top 3 in the league since the deadline and with 5 straight wins over boston and toronto, they take sole lead as no.1.

Dubas built a mediocre team since the deadline. It is a fact. We were middle of the pack since the deadline and badly outplayed by Tampa. Florida steam rolled the league since the deadline and continue chugging along.

It's time to face facts. Being down 0-2 isn't because Leafs aren't showing up. Yes, that's some of it. But the majority of it is because this team is built flawed by it's GM. Garbage D. Slow or unskilled supporting cast. Questionable IQ overall.

Florida is nowhere near as good as you are giving them credit for.

They have been absolutely dominated for long stretches in the first two games. The only reason this series is 2-0 is because Bob outplaying Samsonov by a country mile.

How many posts tonight? These first two games could have been absolute blowouts for the Leafs.

Goaltending is important in the playoffs.

CBJ was defensively more structured and kept Leafs to the outside because they didn't wanna go into the dirty areas

Habs weren't more defensively sound, they stood up at blue line, forced dump-ins or turned puck over and attacked.

Look at the Game 7 1st goal Habs scored; direct result of marner turnover for no f***ing reason as an example

Every team stands up the Leafs on the blueline on the PK and the Leafs just go backwards for 20 seconds until they go in messy instead of just accepting that a dump in and some physical contact on the PP is part of the job. There’s just a level of tactical stupidity that will be one of the factors that kills them in the end.

So if you wash that, the post-deadline stats can be use as tie breaker to see panthers aren't the under dogs. 0-2 start for us could be predict from the post-deadline stats and records. Panthers came in hot, we came in average.

TBH the Leafs could have scored on that PP and still let Florida back in this game with how they were playing.

it just infuriates me. they have 4 guys standing at the blue line denying you entry skate up with speed dump the puck and go get it and set up. but they don't do that for fear of getting any physical contact on PP.

Tampa looked like shit to me, yet we still trailed most of the time while finding a way to win.

You've been going on about these analytics since the deadline and we've made it further than all those better analytic teams we had that you probably loved so much. Engvall got traded, didn't make any impact for the Islanders just like here. It's time to move on from that crush and realize that some of these analytics you like to follow so dearly aren't as important as you were told by someone. There's probably a reason why our very analytic following GM decided change was needed and it's worked so far and would be looking even better if Samsonov made some saves on shots he should've saved, or if players who have good analytics turning the puck over in critical areas of the ice leading to those goals/scoring chances.
