A bone injury is probably good news for him at this point, but JR’s report is pretty vague about the actual injury. What bone is broken? But the fact it’s not a reinjury is good news.Perunivich out at least 6 months. Needs surgery.
My guess is we won't see him all season, because even if he comes back in 6 months, dude is gonna be rusty.
This sucks.
Perunovich to undergo shoulder surgery | St. Louis Blues
Defenseman was injured Sept. 27 and will be re-evaluated in six monthswww.nhl.com
Not really, doesn't matter if it's a reinjury or a new injury if the guy can't stay healthy. He's just going to keep injuring new things because he's fragile as shit.A bone injury is probably good news for him at this point, but JR’s report is pretty vague about the actual injury. That’s what’s a little odd here. A basic broken bone doesn’t take 6 months to heal. Likely a fair assumption that there was a good amount of damage beyond a broken bone.A bone injury is probably good news for him at this point, but JR’s report is pretty vague about the actual injury. If you have to use screws and/or a plate you have to do a fair amount of cutting to get thereThat’s what’s a little odd here. A basic broken bone doesn’t take 6 months to heal. Likely a fair assumption that there was a good amount of damage beyond a broken bone.
I’m a little skeptical how accurately JR is describing the injury. I won’t be surprised if we hear it’s a lot more complicated. You’re right the info released doesn’t add up.That’s what’s a little odd here. A basic broken bone doesn’t take 6 months to heal. Speaking as a physician, it’s a huge difference to me in what I would expect for his return to contact and expectations for his recovery. Not really, doesn't matter if it's a reinjury or a new injury if the guy can't stay healthy. i'd prefer they look for 3rhd. miko can handle left side if he is with someone that can move puck. borts i prefer as 7thd at this point in his career.Blues are without their #3LHD and #8 D for the next 6 months at least. It would not surprise me to see them look at LHD or a #3 RHD soon.
I'd agree fully. Or at least someone to Platoon with Bortuzzo.i'd prefer they look for 3hrd. miko can handle left side if he is with someone that can move puck. borts i prefer as 7thd at this point in his career.
The story turns out happy in the end!
rehab?Unlike the Scott Perunovich story which ends at United Fruit. He can start with strawberries and work his way up to those bananas.
rehab?
As Brian39 so frequently highlights in his posts, future career earnings is a massive piece in this situation. He'll get healthy, but Perunovich has just taken a major blow. And there it is.
Just like last season, he can be an option if they’re really desperate for a d-man in the playoffs.
Really sucks for him, his development and his career.
