That goalie interference call was a very tough call to make. Even many of the analysts had to look at the instant replay several times, and even then, they weren't 100% sure.
Brodeur was sure.

That's a lot of Xs.

Remember when we got that first X? I recall people mocking the Kings accounts on twitter for even starting to count them down, given the fact that we were down 3-1 at the time. I specifically remember comments, from Kings fans, to the tune of "don't bother, that will be the only win you get".
Seeing that graphic almost completed thrills my heart completely. I am so proud of what they have pulled off. They may have created a monster in me though. I was optimistic before, always thinking we had hope. After this run I'm afraid I'm never going to be worried about a score again til the final buzzer sounds.
I was oddly calm during last night's OT also, but the dark side inside me was concerned that if we lost it, sudden death style, when I wasn't expecting it, it would hurt even more. So I tried to stay realistically nervous. That goal felt gooooooood. I was emotionally exhausted after the game, but ecstatic. It's an awesome feeling to know they're gonna pull it off and get that validation at the end that they deserve your unwavering belief.
This team. I'm not sure we will ever see another run like this. Soak it all in, guys. These are the good times we've been waiting for.
Who started that, a Shark fans?
I'm not even happy right now after two wins. Yeah, it's great and all, but I'm so focused on two more and I know the boys feel the same.
I wasn't worried at all in OT. I knew the Kings would win it after coming back. Either way I felt we'd be in good shape - either we'd win (which we did) and go up 2-0, or it would have taken NY two overtimes to beat us and the boys would rebound hard in Game 3.
I think this core will only get stronger in the coming years and that's a scary thought for the rest of the NHL. That second line this time next year will be much better along with our defense.
I did a little trolling...didn't post, just read on the the Rangers board and they are completely flipping their ****...despite that one borderline call they failed to convert on the handful of opportunities they had...they failed to convert and we took full advantage of our opportunities...the fact that they are saying the refs handed us the cup is ridiculous...this is probably the most deserved run at the cup i've ever seen and we still have work to do! We endured our own fair share of **** calls the last few series also!![]()
Ranger fans will never ever, ever give credit to any other player or team. There will be some excuse why they lost or why a player failed. It's an inherited trait from an organization run by the Dolan's. They and their fans are entitled and petulant babies.
Having them lose these first two games in this manner is so much more delicious than a blow out win by the Kings. Of course now two more wins via blow outs are perfectly acceptable.
GKG!

Ranger fans are delusional! They get back to the Finals going through the weak east and start making claims of how great they're team is! They have the best Defensmen that has ever played! The best goalie in the past 50 years
! Their amazing defense which is heads and shoulders above ours
! And yet they are down 0-2! I give them credit they have caused us fits at times and have good speed but when you're a good team you don't give up two goal leads in consecutive games and expect to win. Bogus call or not you had the lead and was gifted two power play chances in OT. They should focus on their own team rather then make excuses!
Let's also not forget that the Kings have played like absolute dog turd and still somehow managed to come out with 2 wins. I'm encouraged because we know - and more importantly, the players know - that they are capable of much, much better play.

These kind of comments absolutely blow my mind. The Kings dominated the 2nd half of game 1 and I would argue, almost all of game 2 was very evenly played. Obviously the score is the most important thing but when you look at time of possession, zone time, pressure, chances, the games have been very close.
I think it stems from people here taking the Rangers so lightly that when the Kings don't completely dominate, they are playing "terrible". It's ludicrous.
The 2nd part of your comment I agree with. They can still play better and they know it.

"Can you take me through your goal?" *Dustin Brown grabs reporter by the collar, throws him through the Kings goal*
Or, perhaps, Ryan McDipwad should try not pushing guys into his goalie? Just a thought.
