Funny, I felt so calm during that OT. Like it wasn't if the Kings were going to score, more like when. I've never been that calm during a OT game. Absolutely never.

you buddha. this game wrecked me, still rehabilitating. rangers were better than in game 1, so many things went wrong, and lak played really bad. lucky charms i guess. it must be written in the stars somewhere, this is beyond logic and understanding.

Kings will lose one in NY, but win game 5 to win on home ice......again. When they go up 3-1 they are not going to want to go back to NY.

Absolutely world-classless...imagine making McD, the next coming of The Lord, look absolutely awful on that play.

Seriously, that was a world-class tip-in, as good as it gets
.

Yeah, that doesn't get any better than that. One of the TSN guys said that's the best one he's ever seen in the playoffs. McD for all the high praise he's been getting, looked bad on more than a few goals in this series.

As confident as I am that the Kings can win 2 before NY wins 4, I think we shouldn't overlook how close these games have been. And these were our home games. NY will have the matchups they want in games 3 and 4 which, with their speed, gives them a better chance at taking these games. Of course we will play a different style of game, but this series is closer than I think a lot of us would like to admit.

Let's also not forget that the Kings have played like absolute dog turd and still somehow managed to come out with 2 wins. I'm encouraged because we know - and more importantly, the players know - that they are capable of much, much better play.

Oh, and this bodes will for us. He's gonna still be thinking about it on Monday. Kill Kings Kill!

Well don't swan dive next time & maybe next time a call, A LEGIT CALL, would be made. He thinks that the refs don't see video replays themselves?? Grow up Henri, and play the game like a man. You and Nash. Diving is reserved for the Olympics. On to game 3 boys. Put this away asap. enough hearing this bs

While I will agree with you that the series is a lot closer than I would have expected, the Kings have also been playing like crap and still finding ways to win. If the Kings put their "A" game against the Rangers "A" game I think the Kings come out on top the majority of the time. To have played as bad as the Kings have and have a 2 game lead is amazing.

Very true. I think many do not realize the Kings have not led in either game.
They must play better. Hope Kopitar and Carter start scoring goals again.
Wish Kopi would shoot more.

I noticed that Hank was handcuffed on a few of Toffoli's shots. Tyler gets a lot on his shot and it is deceptive.
Thinking he will bury 1 or 2 before this is over. He also hit 1 or 2 posts.

Games have certainly been close, and NY is a hell of an opponent, but I have quite a bit of confidence in this group. At some point you have to believe the Kings are going to score first and/or play with the lead. I'm not saying NYR can't make comebacks of their own, but I do feel like the 60 minute puck-possession storm is coming at some point.

Game 2 was the first time this Playoffs that NY lost after leading after 2 , they're
now 10-1
NY is now 8-5 on the road and 4-5 at home.
LA is now 7-5 on the road and 7-4 at home.

Just saw this on my facebook. Good look here:

I guess the explanation he gave the King of all goalies was the puck was by him before contact was made. It was pretty close, and i can totally see his argument, but it happened so fast that it was a split second judgement call.

I don't think the matchups in this series matter nearly as much as they do in the past few, though.

Yup, their collective meltdown reminded me of the sharks after game 6. I don't think Lundqvist is fragile, but he still can't make the big save imo, and seeing this is now borderline hilarious. Gotta get in his face.

If stuff from this game is gonna be cracked down on, though, gotta watch the goalie interference/plays around the net and diving. Though I'm hoping they'll really be watching the diving because it's been Vancouver-in-the-finals bad. Appalling, really.

If the kings fall behind by 2 goals again in NY, I don't see them making a come back like they did at staples. The rags are actually a better team offensively than I had thought. I have no idea why I'm not concerned about them. I still say the kings in 5.

Yeah, well, that plan didn't work too well against CHI. Let's just win two in NY and call it a day.

Speaking of the Kings scoring goals on controversial calls from the ref...

Didn't King score a goal on Brodeur by swatting at his glove until it went in?

That goalie interference call was a very tough call to make. Even many of the analysts had to look at the instant replay several times, and even then, they weren't 100% sure.
