I don't often go to opposing boards, but because I had read so much negativity regarding you guys, I decided to go check it out myself. What I found out was that you guys need to stop playing the victims game. Every other post in the PGT seem to be blaming the refs for the game. Absolutely pathetic!

Believe it or not, you don't get to the stanley cup finals without getting a break here or a call of your own. Even now, in your post, large portion of it has to do with blaming the ref and not getting the call. Get over it!

To be fair, this board acts in the same juvenile manner when fans feel slighted. It's not much better here, if it all. It really is a study in human behavior. F- is the result.

At least on our boards, we have plenty of posters to neutralize the ones that whine. I didn't see any of that the on their board.

Just spot New York a goal so they'll shut the **** up already. Hank needs to pop a couple Advils to get some relief. Guy's got a ****ing migraine from worrying.

The biggert difference, myself included, is I get frustrated when it happens, and for a bit of time after the incident occurs and I use this forum to vent. I will not however, and I think most others here will never act like ranger fans or their media a few hours after the game, And especially a day after.

Look no further than game 7 against the hawks. Kings get screwed left and right with penalty calls in the 2nd period, people including myself blew up. By the time the 3rd rolled around, I was over it, even with them being down a goal due to said calls.

Again I can't speak for others, but imo this is the biggest difference between this board and theirs.

Even if that goal had been disallowed, the Kings would have just scored another one to replace it. No stopping this roster when they put their collective mind to something.

Before game 2, I said I wanted Lundqvist to cry....

Check.

Wonder what I should ask for tomorrow :sarcasm:

"I want Lundqvist to be pulled!"

:naughty:

I get the whining in the moment, but over a day later is too ****ing much.

Just called a old coach I keep in touch with and he ripped into me about how bad thew refing is and I said if that had been disllowed we just would have scored a different goal instead, he did not see the humor in it lol whole city is melting down, we are more use to calls going against us I guess

Good, I hope the Ranger players follow the fans' lead and melt down as well. Finish this in 4.

One thing has stood out to me while this whole thing has played out....

All the Ranger players cried about it after the game, but if the tables were reversed, do you think ANY Kings player would do the same?

No.

It's called being strong mentality, and it's clear which team has it.

Always thought the Rags were a mentally weak team (regardless of what their blowhard fans think).

In my dreams Quick would step aside and let Nash score an open netter...all the NY players would be a bit baffled at first but then stop to celebrate their greatness and pat themselves on the back for a great team effort. Nash would feel completely rejuvenated and elated..."i did it! i contributed! nobody can say anything to me!"....Then we'd spend the remaining 59minutes completely destroying them.

Thats just a dream or a fantasy though...i know Quick doesnt have it in him to let them have one for free. ;)

You lost me at Nash scoring a goal.

Exactly. I love that our guys are so mentally stong. Looks like the Rags have gone full Cryotes.

This. We've been devastating teams like this for a few years now and AV has had front row seats to it, you think he of all coaches would be better prepared.

-Canucks series 2012, meltdown into a goalie swap.

-Blues sereis 2012, mental meltdowns into a sweep. Pietrangelo apparently dies then loses his **** when he comes back. King obliges to a fight.

-Cryotes series 2012, Mike Smith gets schooled after being a superhero in the Hawks series. Coyotes come unglued and take a series of stupid-ass major penalties. Handshake shenanigans led by good 'ol Canadian boy.

-Devils series 2012--they actually handled things well IIRC, but Parise was basically a no show and Kovy couldn't do much with no back.

-Blues series 2013--Blues win a couple of games after being spotted an OT goal by Quick and a weird-ass goal by Jackman at the end of a game. Mentally fall apart and lose 4 straight under the pressure. Plus, we get that googly-eyed Jackman gif forever.

-Sharks series 2013--hard fought, but we prevailed in the end. Nothing sticks out as particularly meltdown worthy that I can recall, but player quotes from Thornton et. al. are always hilarious for a sense of bravado.

-Hawks series 2013--they handled business, plain and simple. Did what they had to do and executed a tired and wounded team handily in 5. I will say, though, that the Kings played heroically in Game 5.

-Sharks series 2014--down 3-0, started playing hard and forced a goalie change yet again, we come back and "lol we got cheated" by everyone in the organization. Absolutely demolished them and their hopes by the end of game 7, might actually break the organization into pieces. Sad Joe.gif.

-Ducks series 2014--another great series, alternated leads with the 2nd-best regular season team in the league, but went through their entire goaltending pipeline in the process. Eviscerated them in game 7. Props to their org and Boudreau for not really melting down, except maybe in the goalie category--not only did we wreck Gibson's series, we also wrecked their minor league team's hopes due to Gibson being gone  (payback for what he did to ours!).

-Blackhawks series 2014--one for the ages, props to another championship team for never really melting down, aside from maybe Crawford losing his mind a few times. Don't blame any of their guys for looking sad after such a draining series. Maybe helped them identify some weaknesses, honestly.

-Rangers series 2014--not even over and it's already their Maple Leafs Game 7 moment. Jesus. Dive city, I honestly think this may single handedly be the worst display of embellishment in a series I've ever seen and the common factor between that and other teams is AV.

You know, something I didn't really think much about is how many times we've forced teams to go away from their near-elite starting goaltender over the last several years, yet have stuck hard to Quick.

I dream that we go up 4-2, give up a borderline interference goal to make it 4-3, then spend the next 18 minutes dominating them and not giving up like they did.

Exactly. I love that our guys are so mentally stong. Looks like the Rags have gone full Cryotes.

The emotions coming from the Rangers reminds me a lot of the Coyotes series.
