The rangers fans at Staples have been an embarrassment. I've been to every home playoff game the last 4 years and until this series, I've seen zero fights. Two games against New York? three fights and another near fight. They also didn't learn their lesson after game 1, mocking the Kings post-goal "hey... hey... hey hey hey" chant when they took 2-0, 3-1, and 4-2 leads... Choke on it, suckers.

Mitchell and Clifford had another real strong game for us. Still no goals from Kopitar, Toffoli, or Pearson. They're due. New York is ****ed.

Carter is overdue.

See above for my dissertation on Ranger fans at Staples. They are ****ed up fools and I rather this series ends on Wednesday than have to endure them again on Friday.

hahahah ****ing classic!

Brown should get 5 games for that classless tip in OT.

Absolutely world-classless...imagine making McD, the next coming of The Lord, look absolutely awful on that play.

Seriously, that was a world-class tip-in, as good as it gets.

LA Kings, the unhappiest team two wins from Stanley Cup

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-p...tml?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

“We’re not happy with how we started these two games, at all,†said defenseman Willie Mitchell. “We’ve had terrible starts the last two games. No rhyme or reason for it. It’s not a place we want to be in, having to climb out of them all the time.â€

“We’re doing things that aren’t in our game. That haven’t been in our game for years here. And we’re getting away with it,†said Jarret Stoll, who joined the Kings in 2008. “We gotta be honest with how we’re playing. We know we got a lot more [to give].â€

“We’re all well aware what Stolli just said,†said Brown, the team’s captain. “I understand we can’t [keep doing this]. But I understand the kind of guys we have in this room.â€

Defenseman Jake Muzzin finds the whole thing puzzling. “I don’t know what the heck is going on. We’re giving them two and we’re coming back a couple times now,†he said.

That said, Muzzin said it comes back to the players.

“It’s hard to explain but we’ve got a calm belief in here that we can win every game no matter what the score is and no matter what the situation is. The experience, the leadership, the guys around, guys making big plays when we need to make them and [Jonathan Quick] making big saves when we need him to is giving us confidence.â€

Center Anze Kopitar had a theory, too. “It’s not encouraging to get down, but it seems like when we do get down, that desperation kicks in,†he said.

“Sometimes we do play our best hockey when we’re desperate. With more sense of urgency than when we start.“

Interesting comment from Stoll. This team is puzzling.

From a wings fan, your team is simply amazing guys. I've been a hockey fan for 25 yrs or so now, all a wings fan. Including the cup teams we had in 97, 98, and 2002, I have never seen a more resilient team in my life. Frankly, in any sport. I cannot recall one that you literally are sitting there watching them go down 2 or 3 goals and not a thought goes through my head other than "they'll come back" lol. Seriously, it's amazing.

It is seriously, amazing. When they went down 2-0 yesterday early again, I was like "they'll come back". When they went down 4-2 late in the 2nd, I was like "hmm...this might actually be toughhhh, no, they'll at least tie it up somehow". I thought maybe last night was the NYR game to have as it continued, but nope.

I think what makes the kings so successful is what us wings fans have been screaming at our team for now over a decade. We wish our team would do the simpler things and go straight at the net. I think LA seems to do that better than anyone. They come with the puck and boom, 2 guys screening the goalie, or looking for rebounds. Their goals are not often pretty, but they fight for those BS goals and generate their own puck luck.

The chicago OT game 7 goal was sort of a dirty or lucky or whatever (how about, just not a fancy) goal...throw it at the net, hope for the best. Last night's game winning goal, same thing.

It's amazing how mentally tough they are. I seriously admire it.

Good luck tomorrow night. Tomorrow is gonna be tougher than the last 2 games.

Thanks for the insight. Cheers.

The article looks funnier and more appropriate if you stop here:

As happy as I want to be about this win, I'm worried about the fatigue factor. I mean these last few games have been going into OT in which they have to be taking their toll on the guys. Hopefully, the Kings can get a win in NY and finish them off at home.

I simply don't buy this narrative, both teams are playing these games. Now, if they had played a game like last night in game 7 (multiple OTs), I could buy it, but they played 5 minutes.

At this point, I don't see fatigue as a factor favoring the Rangers. Each team has been on the same schedule for a week now. And when LA finally starts the game with a lead, or a multi-goal lead, then the game might not get a chance to make it to overtime. Basically, it looks like the Kings are beating the Rangers without playing their best game. So as soon as NYR play worse, or Kings play better, things could get a bit more lopsided than they already are. Or at least that's what I'd like to think.

That's funny because whenever I watch the Wings I feel like their center lane drive is the best and most consistent in the league. Not sure about this year with all the injuries you guys went through but I feel like you guys are top notch in that area when you've got your veterans healthy. Perception is a funny thing sometimes.

2 more to go and I still don't know what I'm seeing with this team. If they win well or win ugly, they still win. That's all that matters.

Funny, I felt so calm during that OT. Like it wasn't if the Kings were going to score, more like when. I've never been that calm during a OT game. Absolutely never.

We probably all have nerves of steel after enduring those overtime games against the Blackhawks.

Jesus warned us about others coming in His name in Matthew 24:

23 At that time if anyone (a New Your Ranger fan) says to you, ‘Look, (McDonagh) here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’(#27 in a NYR jersey) do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs (NY media) and false prophets (VIC the Brick) will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.('the elect' East Coast bias machine) 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

26 “So if (those deceived Ranger fans) anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’(on the Rangers Blueline) do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the (Ranger locker room) inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, (the savagely injured Carey Price) there the (Ranger fans) vultures will gather.
