I feel like if we had faced the Rags in the first round, it would have been our easiest Playoff win of all time. The only reason why the Rags have a chance is due to the Kings being exhausted and sloppy. I'm sure there is a ton of injury mixed in there as well. In a way, I wish the Chicago series was the Cup final. They were the toughest and best team left in the Playoffs. Hopefully the Kings can step on the Rags' throat and finish this off in NY. While a win on home ice would be great, it would be even sweeter if the Rags never even get the tiniest taste of victory. Plus I want to be at LAX when the boys bring the Cup home.

Oh and I am quite enjoying the song the Rags fans are currently singing, lol. "Team of destiny, brah. Da Rangerz are da best eva. NHL is corrupt and wanted da Queens two win da Cup. Total conspiracy brah. Goal 3 is all da proof uze need. NHL stole da Cup from us."

Certain Folks wanted J-Dub traded at the deadline.....Yup.

Williams has 23 points in 23 games and is +13.

Me and the Mayor (sic) had a twitter discussion about this. He is convinced the Kings are letting him go at the end of the season, just as he was convinced he would be traded at the deadline. I called him on his trade prediction and I think I ruffled his feathers. He said check back with him again in the summer, insinuating that Williams would be gone by then.

I told him I would. Trolling the Mayor (sic) is fun. :)

Digging the avatar there.

I don't see JW leaving....LA is his best chance at competing every year right now....

The Mayor has very thin skin. He might need to resorb a fetus too

No way. Would be very pissed with DL.

Actually I feel for the Rangers fans. Their team has no business in the finals, yet they came so close to being up 2-0 and return home. That team would seed at 7th or 8th at best in Western Conference.

Kings really had it tough in first three rounds and got rewarded for the most lopsided final series probably since Anaheim - Ottawa. So much for the NY - LA hype. I'm not gonna complain if Kings sweep but I wanna win it at home dammit. But let's not go there, there's still plenty of hockey left to play. It isn't over till it's over as we said after going 0-3 against Sharks.

Lopsided? Ny-LA hype? There have been two overtime wins! Have you been watching the games?
You act like the Kings won two 5-1 games. The Rangers has shown they deserve to be here.
Oh and if you forgot the Kings were an 8th seed in 2012.

I am not worried at all about Rangers fans. I have been having way too much fun with them.

Maybe here, but in person at Staples is another story. They are absolutely insufferable.

I took a walk on the concourse at the second intermission with my GF. Good thing, because she saved my ass a couple of times, I almost got into it with a couple of Power Ranger a-holes. Celebrating as though they just won the Cup, they should have known better that a 2-goal lead against the Kings isn't safe.

One clown called us sore losers loud enough for anyone to hear. I told him the game wasn't over yet. He said he wasn't talking to me. I said you were loud enough to talk to 100 of us in the concourse, fool. That's when the GF pullled me back. Good thing, the guy was 25 years younger than me and bigger and taller. I'm sure it would not have been pretty (for me). But I would have bloodied him for sure, at least. :)

Anyway, would sure like to know if he thinks the Kings fans are "sore losers" after winning the game. A-hole.

Maybe you meant that you "pity" them rather than "feel" for them. There is a difference.

Now imagine living in New York with these losers. The NJ Devil fans were so pleasant to deal with, heck one of them gave me access to the presale for SCF tickets. The Rags fans are the worst.

Glad you didn't sink down to their septic level, man. Not worth it. Way more fun to let the Kings kick their ass for you and let those NY D-bags leak dat salty wata.

I think we are extremely lucky to be up 2-0....need to work on our blue line turnovers...with that said I'm still in shock and awe at the resilience of this team! Wet is an understatement! Lol

Tremendously happy to be up 2-0, but that's three wins in a row that needed OT. Lets really lean into them and put one away in regulation in NY.

The Rangers have been surprisingly hard to get a grip on and put down early. I feel like every game we're watching "The Mountain and the Viper", over and over again.

From a wings fan, your team is simply amazing guys. I've been a hockey fan for 25 yrs or so now, all a wings fan. Including the cup teams we had in 97, 98, and 2002, I have never seen a more resilient team in my life. Frankly, in any sport. I cannot recall one that you literally are sitting there watching them go down 2 or 3 goals and not a thought goes through my head other than "they'll come back" lol. Seriously, it's amazing.

It is seriously, amazing. When they went down 2-0 yesterday early again, I was like "they'll come back". When they went down 4-2 late in the 2nd, I was like "hmm...this might actually be toughhhh, no, they'll at least tie it up somehow". I thought maybe last night was the NYR game to have as it continued, but nope.

I think what makes the kings so successful is what us wings fans have been screaming at our team for now over a decade. We wish our team would do the simpler things and go straight at the net. I think LA seems to do that better than anyone. They come with the puck and boom, 2 guys screening the goalie, or looking for rebounds. Their goals are not often pretty, but they fight for those BS goals and generate their own puck luck.

The chicago OT game 7 goal was sort of a dirty or lucky or whatever (how about, just not a fancy) goal...throw it at the net, hope for the best. Last night's game winning goal, same thing.

It's amazing how mentally tough they are. I seriously admire it.

Good luck tomorrow night. Tomorrow is gonna be tougher than the last 2 games.

The Rangers has shown they deserve to be here.

Exactly, and I'm not arguing against that. I think they're built in the Coyotes mold, they have a hardbitten attitude and an exceptional goalie that carries them on his back. I respect their team, hell I'm a fan of those types of teams.

But I think we can all agree on that they're the easiest opponent Kings have played this postseason. If you glance at what their fans wrote in frustration, I understand why they're so upset. Even they deep inside knew their team is simply overmatched yet they came so close being up 2-0 on the road. And now they're blaming everything except themselves.

We need to make better decisions in our own zone, that failed pass from Muzzin to Kopitar in OT nearly costed us the game. It's sad to see Voynov getting outmuscled and turning the puck over and over again, if only he could contribute on the scoreboard like he did last year. I'm surprised by how well Martinez is playing, he makes simple and smart plays.

So why are the games so closed? Are the Rangers actually better than we thought or are the Kings tired? Hopefully, the Kings can tighten up their defense from now on.

LA is due to get the first goal and/or a multi goal lead sometime soon. And I like our odds if/when that happens.
