I probably would give him the vote too if we win the cup. Not just for the PPG, but the magnitude of his points. Huge Game 7 goals, an OT winner, 3 assist games. Just unbelievable.

I want #14 with us forever, as irrational as that is. He knows how to throw his heart out there on the ice like no other. I love that we are even discussing his name a Smythe candidate given the fact that he was a healthy scratch four or five years ago. He came back with something to prove and has done a damn fine job of it.

Yeah... that's because of his constant passes to the other team. His turnovers where he hangs on to the puck at the blue line waits for his line mates to go deep then coughs up the puck for an odd man break are especially bad. Willams turnovers haven't been near as bad since being moved off the first line, and playing against the Rangers. Against the Hawks he was turning stuff over left and right. Think he had a pass to the NYR in the defensive zone tonight that led to a goal.
Since Williams absolutely leveled Nash tonight my opinion is changing quick!
Seriously for anyone that's been 230 and run into by a guy Williams size... just funny....Does anyone else see irony in NYR fans *****ing about Goalie interference?

Some observations:
I completely forgot about Williams flubbing a breakaway 7 minutes into the first period
Kopi's "effort" on the 2nd goal against was even worse than I thought.
Nash got "muscled" off the puck with almost no effort from Muzzin, which lead to the Kings tying goal. Just a horrific play by Nash
If Lundqvist had made the save that Quick made on Richards, there would be a 10 page thread on the main board about it

If I'm voting for the Conn Smythe trophy I vote for Willy. A point a game and he has been huge when the Kings really needed him.
Actually I feel for the Rangers fans. Their team has no business in the finals, yet they came so close to being up 2-0 and return home. That team would seed at 7th or 8th at best in Western Conference.
Kings really had it tough in first three rounds and got rewarded for the most lopsided final series probably since Anaheim - Ottawa. So much for the NY - LA hype. I'm not gonna complain if Kings sweep but I wanna win it at home dammit. But let's not go there, there's still plenty of hockey left to play. It isn't over till it's over as we said after going 0-3 against Sharks.

Just a thought but I was cruising on the playoff avatar thread where teams that are out are combining with the LA or NY logo. So you could see a maple leaf with the LA logo which I thought looked cool. Another one was NY combined with the ducks to call them the duckngers.
My thought is for next season we combine ours with the teams we ate up in the playoffs (like we absorbed their powers along the way).

Exactly. Win it any way you can anywhere you can. The Kings can still make history the other way by letting the Rangers back into this series. Do whatever you can to end it.

Catching up on the CBC replay online. Saw this note: The home team is now 8-20 in overtime games in the SC Final series since 1990.
2 of those 8 are Kings wins. The tallest of tall orders seem to be no trouble for this team.
