What happens if the Toronto Maple Leafs don't go deep in the playoffs?

We literally go thru this exact same thread every single year and every year its the same disappointing playoffs departure result and same offseason of no significant moves

We will see the exact same team next year with the odd bottom 6 change and maybe a dman or 2 change

yeah but the issue every team gets that advantage that its not really an adantage if all all teams are able to improve the same way, and they haven't got it done with Tavares and Marner already. It might be time to let some guys go and get new bodies in the room.

prob wouldnt be a bad idea but Leafs want to just keep running it back no matter what. all I can do is cheer for them to not let me down this time.
 
They are really stuck because of how they mismanaged the cap and the deals they gave their big underachieving players. Not to mention they give out NMC like candy.

All that can be done is wait for the cap to rise to fill in depth and hope their spoiled loser stars finally get a clue. The draft/prospect cupboard has mostly been left bare over the past few seasons too so.. yeah they are stuck for a while.

I mean thats all you can really do as a fan

Oilers fans are ripping themselves apart over Skinner, its like a civil war on HFoil its pretty sad. but im just sitting back enjoying the games for what they are, Skinner is our guy right now so I support that. We are in good shape as of now and dont have much capital for trades, so arguing for change is kind of worthless.

Skinner isn't having a good game this afternoon, but the Oilers is D is giving up some pretty bad turnovers.

Leafs, like the Oilers have the talent, but the leafs stars just need to push themselves more. Maybe Matthews and Marner learned something from the 4 nations final.

only one team wins every year. I will give them as much shit as anyone but Ive seen the same results even before Matthews was part of this team. no matter how close they get to winning they fall apart in true leafs fashion.

is it Matthews fault alone? no but he should take some of the blame especially this year if the same thing happens since he's the one leading the team as captain.

but you cant deny him as a top C in the league over lack of team success and place him behind guys he's clearly above. Barkov has an argument, Eichel doesnt imo

lmao what ? This team is the best they have ever looked under Berube, the defence is significantly better, we have 2 stud goaltenders.

Marner had two primary assists? Set up the game winner? He was making dynamite passes all night. Why are people so allergic to giving this player some respect. He's gonna shut up a lot of people this year.

After they re sign tavares and marner and realize they arent left with much get a good solid presence vet on the 4th line
