I didn't suggest it was lopsided, just that Edmonton's is very good.

It'll also be interesting that Edmonton is going from the most disciplined team in the playoffs to one of the most penalized. Florida is a tough, physical team, and Edmonton can play that game too, but if Edmonton gets 4 powerplays per game like Florida has been giving up, their PK is going to have to be huge.
Think you should check the stats, we have reigned it in all playoffs, with the help of the refs TB, Bos, and NYR will tell you.

We have played with the puck more than our opponents, and have cut out the offensive zone penalties from last year, EDM wont get 4 a game unless things are going majorly sideways.

Respectfully, you haven't played Edmonton yet. They've been scoring on better than one in every three powerplays, and LA and Dallas both had top 10 regular season penalty kills.

Florida still takes a lot of penalties, but they draw a lot too. The series could come down to which special teams groups get the job done.

Dallas shut you down for 4 straight games, and we have better special teams on both sides than them.

The special teams will be important, no doubt, but don't count on us shooting ourselves in the foot with undisciplined play. Pretty sure we have given up 6 total PP goals in 17 games, and the Rangers and Lightning are no slouches either. 4 were to TB, and we have given up 2 PPGs in the last 11 games.

Let's Go FLA! Stay out of the box but keep playing physical. Word of advice make Bouchard turn and go back to retrieve pucks he will serve up pizza's becuase he cannot take multiple hits. There are a lot of good things that he does well out there but taking hits and playing brave is not his forte. He does not have elite skating so will not be able to avoid them, Game within the game!
I don't think the players come here for advice tbh.

They didn't really shut Edmonton down, Edmonton just didn't get any cracks at it.

Want to know how many powerplay opportunities Edmonton had through four games? Six. Florida had 15 through their first 4 games against the Rangers, who had twelve.

Call it discipline, game management, what have you, but opportunities makes a difference.

I call it a complete lack of physical play in the WCFs, maybe by design on the Stars behalf, but as soon as they turned up the physical play like late in game 6, the Stars were all over the Oilers, relying on Skinner to that degree wont work against the Panthers IMO.

The Panthers will drag you into the fight, and it will go both ways.

Why are Oilers fans so offended that this could be a tight series? You haven't blown anyone out of the water so far, why would it change in the Finals.

The teams are very evenly matched.
I think Florida is the significantly better team

Definitely have the edge in goal

Edmonton has the better top line, but Floridas overall forward depth is better

Blue line, edge Florida

Keys for Edmonton
- Skinner needs to be sharp
- Keep winning the special teams

Keys for Florida
- Stay out of the box
- Protect the middle, keep Edmonton to the outside

Oilers have been lethal on the special teams, it's hard to stay out of the box with McDavids speed causing all sorts of defensive problems. The 5 on 5 scoring hasn't been great, but their PP and PK have been insane.

Your skilled team has been playing 2-1 and 3-2 games all playoffs.

This is the time of year when Will can trump Skill, and we are not without skilled options too, we can play it however you want.

I think we are offended at the "Panthers in 4" idiocy that was all over the Dallas series thread before game 1 started too.

Or the guy up top saying we are basically the Rangers but with McDrai... Except that so far in the playoffs the Oilers are ahead of the Rangers in every metric.

What? People are sleeping on the Oilers here and in the media saying Panthers in a landslide ...what kind of glasses are you wearing?

No Panthers fan is saying this, I don't get the angst your fans have about the teams you already beat.

Yes because the refs have swallowed the whistle in every Oilers series. I didn't say anything about the Panthers not having skill? Where did you read that?

Well then I'm telling you that not a single Oiler fan is offended that this is a tight series.
If Florida fans are saying this, then we are most likely agreeing.

It's the fans of golfing teams that are saying stupid shit and we are responding in kind.
