Bergeron's peak and streak of Selke's was from 11-17, streak being mostly ruined by Kopitar. Then a couple other guys won it, including Barkov in 21. THEN old man Bergeron won back to back in Barkov's prime.Barkov has 2 Selkes, and beat Bergeron during his streak of Selkes, weird take
Never claimed you did.I didn't say anything about the Panthers not having skill? Where did you read that?
As do Oilers fans.Every Panthers fan expects a long tight series.
Vancouver went 4-0 out scoring the Oilers as well how did that turn out? Regular season stats mean nothing in a seven game seriesFYI Florida went 2-0 and outscored Edmonton 10-4 in the two matchups this year

So no, just an accurate take.

Love it absolutely love it. The team meh whatever but the Canuck fans lost any ounce of respect from me during that series. Whiners every one of them. These Vancouver fans are starting to become unhinged.
It's not a good matchup for Edmonton at all. it may be the worst case for themRangers had everything Edmonton does sans McDrai. They had Shesterkin. Still got beat in 6 (should have been 5 games max).
I don't see how this is a good matchup for Edmonton.
Wait, so you are saying that being able to produce a goal and an assist in a game while Dallas played shutdown hockey and neutralized the rest of the team isn't impressive? 6 of those shots came from McDavid's line, he was plenty productive. I think its even more amazing that in a game where a red hot Drai can't manage anything, and neither can the rest of the team, McDavid still can't be shut down.McDavid is the best offensive player in the league but a goal and an assist, while being outshot 35-10 isn't up there in all time performances
Clearly shows Bergeron's peak of 4 in 6. The guy was knocking on 40 when he made that resurgence and won back to back, ironically wedged right in between Barkov's prime. How one can spin that 21 win by Barkov as 'stealing one during Bergeron's streak' as if that was Bergeron's prime is beyond me.View attachment 879135Bergeron had a run of 6 in 12 years, interrupted by a couple great forwards including Barkov, Barky should have had 3 as he was statistically the best in 19-20 too, that was a hose job, but he is still on pace to be one of the best ever however you want to slice it.
Blindly pointing to an AHLer in the Vancouver series despite him likely playing as good or better than demko could have doesn't make sense. Canucks got dominated in 5/7 games, Skinner just has a mental block against that team, something like 4GA and 850sv% the over the last 8 games. And Boston went 4-0 against us, regular season means dick.
Holy f***, I’m not one to get cocky by any means, but you beat a Kings team with that joke Dubois and an AHLer in net. Got lucky with a Boeser illness in game 7 against a 3rd string goalie and had a defenseman suspended for one game that series, and faced a team in the Stars with two 40 year olds and a defense that had Petrovic on it.
No, I’m not going to be cocky, but some of these Oiler fans are out of control. Every elite player we’ve faced was had almost no affect on the game…it wasn’t cause they were floating.
We’ll see how it plays out on the ice, but some takes in here (this one isn’t bad, just pointing out the 4-0 against post) are obnoxious.
The whole point is that every opponent we’ve faced (save for LA) has been a “bad” match-up for the Oilers. It's not a good matchup for Edmonton at all. it may be the worst case for them
All of that said, they still have the two best players in the world - who can absolutley win this series for the Oilers.
Going to be a fun one.
Yikes.(don't feel bad if you can't find Edmonton on a map, most Canadians can't either).
Dallas didn't shut you down, lol, you stopped playing offense after 20 minutes, and held on for dear life.Wait, so you are saying that being able to produce a goal and an assist in a game while Dallas played shutdown hockey and neutralized the rest of the team isn't impressive? 6 of those shots came from McDavid's line, he was plenty productive. Don't follow your logic at all, even if you are stat sheet watching. But go watch those two McDavid goals if you want to see greatness.
Yikes.
It's mind boggling.Wow. No games till Saturday eh. Seems like a very long layoff.
100%The whole point is that every opponent we’ve faced (save for LA) has been a “bad” match-up for the Oilers.
Each series will be it’s own match up and it’s own challenge.
Bergeron's run "ended", as he was banged up for a few years, certainly not because he fell off, and had to reinvent/re-find his game.Clearly shows Bergeron's peak of 4 in 6. The guy was knocking on 40 when he made that resurgence and won back to back, ironically wedged right in between Barkov's prime. You had way too much optimism. 59 minutes to spare.I give his angsty post an hour at most.
Right now he’s toad but he can be anyone reallySkinner already said.....Mario Kart
you were wrong about the LA seriesRangers had everything Edmonton does sans McDrai. They had Shesterkin. Still got beat in 6 (should have been 5 games max).
