Drai will ask Sam Bennett how to do it properly without getting a suspensionYeah I know, Draisaitl can't even injure someone correctly. Can't do anything right lately.
Oilers can’t even injure players properly. *shakes head*
So it wasn’t a blatant knee on knee hit? Lmao hohhhkayfirst Luostarinen has a miraculous recovery...now Barkov
stunning!
.....from out of a Cup.Florida should absolutely and solely focus on winning this thing. It will be quite a bit harder without Barkov, so no distractions and needless penalties. Not to say that they shouldn't react but revenge is a dish best served cold...
Remind me, which team put the LTIR loophole back in the spotlight a few years ago? There is something in the water in Sunrise, miraculous cures. Just wear red before you go.
I get it and I agree. But really all I'm trying to say is that right or wrong, the mindset/view of the League was established. Superstar on superstar head shot doesn't get the attention of the League unless it's absolutely over the top/unavoidable. In neither case was the situation so egregious the League is/was boxed in.I’m glad you realize whataboutism but that’s exactly what you’re doing.
Hi guys, how has this thread been?
And your imagination is the only place you'd find that nonsense.I can only imagine how you’d see that if Bennett threw that hit
“Omg he tried to KILL him!”.....probably![]()
no, it wasn't close to "knee-on-knee"So it wasn’t a blatant knee on knee hit? Lmao hohhhkay
Can't comment, as Koucherov would be brought up...Remind me, which team put the LTIR loophole back in the spotlight a few years ago?

Fantastic news! Barkov’s been the best skater in the series.
so Foegele hits Luostarinen in the hip with his knee
ya, not a knee-on-knee
Yeah, and after the Bennett goal they were going to lose the next interference challenge. It was obvious. I don't even think there would have been all that much whining if a Bruin did what Drai did to Bennett with no suspension. Making more bad calls because of previous bad calls is dumb, but it's series management.Florida fans should be angry at Bennet.
He set the bar for the League when they decided that they cannot afford to give supplemental discipline to a star player in the PO's even if it involves a headshot.
Anyone can argue/complain all they want, but if you put his punch to the head on Marchand and Draisaitl's elbow to the head of Barkov to any unbiased fan they are going to tell you that both are head shots and run counter to what the League claims to care about.
And no, I'm not doing the whataboutism thing (hell, Marchand himself didn't whine post game). Just using logic. When League looked the other way on that hit, they really boxed themselves in on something like this.
Playoffs are a nasty thing. Buckle up, head up, and deal with the nasty cheap stuff. Not saying that's the way it should be -- but it is the way it is.
No one on the Panthers whined about it, not even Maurice.Agreed. But coaches do that sometimes.
My point was that Marchand didn't whine. My guess is Barkov won't/didn't either.
Fans crying for someone to hurt like McDavid over this - or for Draisatl to be suspended - are acting like a clown on their keyboards. Right?
Even Oilers fans are calling you out lol.so Foegele hits Luostarinen in the hip with his knee

I have no doubt that Bennett would have been suspended if the second angle had came out before the league said no suspension. They were unwilling to go back on their position, whatever the reason for that was.I get it and I agree. But really all I'm trying to say is that right or wrong, the mindset/view of the League was established. Superstar on superstar head shot doesn't get the attention of the League unless it's absolutely over the top/unavoidable. In neither case was the situation so egregious the League is/was boxed in.
Fans wishing for a different outcome should be able to see that the League has already shown what their tolerance level is. Expecting something different is setting oneself up for disappointment.
And I'm not defending either hit or arguing against either hit. Personally I think both were bad.
