BTW. Since Forsling joined the Panthers, his +/- is highest of all players in the NHL (2020 - 2024) reg+po.
His magic number is +162 (330 games)
+162
That's just 38 out of +200
That is crazy high +/-
But according to them Barkov dove and Panthers just kept him off the game to make a show..
The best defensive forward in the game when Edmonton still had a chance to get back
That tactic hasn’t hurt the Panthers so I would suggest that is not why they’re in this mess.If the Oilers wouldn't concentrate so much on trying to buy calls, maybe they wouldn't be in this mess.
epic would be winning. Period. Regardless of which arena they end it. It’s hilarious that the ancillary aspects like rubbing it in the opponents fan’s face even enters the discussion. All I want to see is Chucky skating the Cup around their ice.
That would be epic..........
It's pretty obvious that's what they meant by their first sentence. If they go down 3-1, they're cooked as well. They have to win both games to have a realistic shot.
Not enough is said about FLA's defense. For all the credit they get with their forecheck and agitating play its their defense that has carried them this far. Bobrovsky's been great too, but they're so good at cleaning up around the net and denying second chances.
McDavid might be able to work some wonders but enough to pull out 4 wins in 6 games against a team they're averaging .5 goals per game against so far? I don't see it, but who knows maybe we will.
Hope Barkov is ok - for all the pearl clutching in this place there was nothing wrong with that hit in the Finals other than the result.
Not going to get into it - as it's been hashed and rehashed too much already - but will say I didn't see it as what you describe . But believe what you like.Since when has jumping into a hit being okay? Then added elbow to the jaw..
The most pathetic reasoning from media to nor suspend Drai was because it’s the finals and Edmonton is down 0-2

If onlyWith all the video and pictures you don’t see skates off the ice and hitting Barkov to the jaw
I’m pretty much speechless but u do u
If only
To update, Sirrius NHL Morning Skate reported that when Bouchard tapped, Ekblad let up and released, which is different than what was initially said. Personally, if he let up. I am good. It is pretty universal if someone taps out, you back off. Funny, this item has a full spread of reactions from funny "sleeper hold" to suspension worthy. You really believe using an RNC until a guy taps out in hockey is no big deal. If he let him go when he tapped out I could maybe see the point, but Ekblad kept going. Nothing play. Happens all the time. BS. Name one other time. Someone choked out a player. This is not some arm around the head from the side.
I am not prude on hitting. I had little issue with Draisatls hit. Bad luck he caught his jaw, but looked like a minor, if that.

Florida's Defense is also denying Oiler star (esp. McDavid) entry to the slot and net-front. More than a few times McDavid has tried to penetrate and failed OR tried to evade and bait them into moving out of position. 1 or 2 mistakes there could be series changing. They're near flawless. Not enough is said about FLA's defense. For all the credit they get with their forecheck and agitating play its their defense that has carried them this far. Despite what happened w.r.t. Interview with Maurice said he has not heard yet, but did hear that there will be no suspension of Draisaitl, Barkov is progressing as well as would be expected and the other EDM player got a fine $2200 for spearing. Ekblad, nothing yet. Interesting series. Didn't expect this one to go all Broadstreet Bullies.
at roughly 1:20
Well, another poster put up an example of a choking Frederik and Lomberg (FLA again, must be a thing in Sunrise). Received a misconduct. So, I would be good with that.Florida's Defense is also denying Oiler star (esp. McDavid) entry to the slot and net-front. Despite what happened w.r.t. Draisaitl and Barkov I am surprised:
imo this series can get out of control due to how the officials & DOPS are handling it.
- A roughing penalty was seemingly called ad-hoc. Whistle was not blown on Oiler possession, only blown due to seemingly injured player flopping on the ice.
- Suspension can be assessed ad-hoc, but can a roughing?
- I am ok with the nature of the call, but timing seems suspect
- No roughing call on Ekblad.
- Literally chokes out a star player (Bouchard has 9+ more points than any Panther) who wants none of it
Players on both teams ARE and will take liberties and retaliations. I like that the series gets greasy, but personally DO NOT Want to see any NHL stars injured and am not calling for retributions... this 'ain't it guys.
You asked for an example so I gave one - I agree it's not OK.This is really your example that choking is OK and a non-issue. Have you looked into the fallout from this?
How about the write up on it...
In a chaotic Game 2 between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers, Black and Gold winger Trent Frederic found himself in a tense altercation with Panthers forward Ryan Lomberg. As the seconds ticked down, Lomberg appeared to choke Frederic on the ice. Frederic later confirmed to reporters that he “couldn’t breathe”. The incident resulted in both players receiving misconduct penalties1. Lomberg’s eventful night also included cross-checking Brad Marchand and slashing Nick Foligno, accumulating a total of 14 penalty minutes2.
I am good with Ekblad getting a misconduct.

The fella is just bitter, remember don't feed the redacted trolls.Just go watch the videos and pictures and learn about hockey
If either McDavid or Drai get injured in this series there better be zero crying, the league showed it’s open season for superstars

Yeah, just a normal hockey play where the player JUMPS elbow first to the players FACE.
Injuring Barkov and getting away with it because McDrai are the darlings of the NHL is all they can brag and cling to.Sadly this place is in a sad state
