Didn't watch tonight. However looking at the plus minuses three of the five goals against at 5v5 we had four forwards and 1 d-man out there. Only so much you can do when you're playing with 5 d-men and one of those five is in his 2nd OHL game

These 2 weeks are a perfect storm of crap for this team. 5D, 3 to them rookies other 2 in their 2nd seasons. The only guy returning is Barr who's another 16 yr old.

Now Schwindt is out (showed up to the arena after the game with his arm all wrapped up) so they go down their best veteran goal scorer when they don't really have many & they play KIT NB NB SBY SBY SSM LDN.

For the draft hopes it's good but i definitely feel for the team. They wanna make it & all these injuries are certainly taking it out of their control. But brightside is talk about experience for all the U17s.

Seca says they hope Barr is back next week but no guarantee. MacDonald likely done for the year. Cajkovic they think will return but it'll be late in the season. Schnieder can only play a couple more games but he'll be up next week for the northern trip.

They've liked Andersen so far & think he could be a really solid Dman if he can keep working on some things.

Think boys will be ready to with the hottest player in league Vilmanis coming back tomorrow is an even tougher task to ask this young crew. But we have played Top end East teams tough and I don't see anything different tomorrow.
Keep plugging away we still support these boys hoping for their future they make it to playoffs that would be a huge win for this group.

Flt loses another tough one. Stays at 4 points. Erie wins & move 7 ahead. 12 games left for all 3 teams.

Bit of a line shake up 5 D again. And Surzycia starts again. Starting to think we may never see Chartier again this is getting ridiculous.

We'll see Chartier at some point next weekend. They won't play Surzycia 3 times in 3.5 days. My guess is he'll get the Sudbury game since that's his hometown

Interested to see how the Brown Wainwright and Doherty line does. Also like the Kostuch Sikic and Doucette line.

Doherty impressing again. He has a legitimately good wrist shot. This is easily becoming the best part of these final couple weeks. Nice surprise after how he looked the first 45 games. 4G/1A last 7 games on top of just really solid play.

It's ridiculous Chartier isn't getting any starts. It's a rebuilding yr. Start the future G. Unless he's battling his illness still or has a nagging injury it's stupid.

Wow. Certainly didn't see this 3rd period explosion happening. Credit to the boys. Kostuch having a whale of a game vs his former team. Loving 11-24 together. So much energy & grit. Doucette' best game in a while.

Heck of a win.. obviously NB probably ran out of gas a bit in a 3in3 but Sarnia only ran 4D the 2nd half of the game. Thought they did a great job outside those egregious Young penalties..

Vets step up big w/Doucette getting 1G/2A. Filak 2G puts him at 19. Sikic big PPG. U17s come up huge w/Kostuch 1G/1A vs his old team, Fischer 2A, 6 shots in what must of been close to 30+ TOI, Doherty 1G, Brown 1A, Hurt +2 in a ton of minutes. Love that.

Weekend went a whole lot better than I anticipated. They hung in there with KIT for most of that game then played with NB most of the day.

Are you kidding me 3 selfish stupid penalties by young when we only have 5 D just needs to be addressed.

Anyway thought today's PP was best I've seen in long time. Looks like new personelle on pp1.
Sikic
Doucette
Wainwright
Filak
Fischer
They had 2 ppgs today most I've seen in long time.
Lines were pretty good had some jump today but could tell NB was a very tired team after 3rd game in weekend roady.
Not sure I like the Surzycia call today but Letang going to live and die by his vets.
Few things stood out we were pretty solid on Draws today, D worked hard again.
Fischer is a ice eating beast and guys just Did enough at key times to get the W

Doherty at about a 20 point pace now over 68 games. Mainly all L4. Mainly with Lominac, Sim, Hall, Way. Not bad honestly.

He definitely struggled with confidence (clearly) in the middle but it would be such a huge boost to this team if he becomes a legit contributor. I said it all summer and early on that he has the tools. Strong kid, great skater & a nice shot. Full marks to him. effort has really been good & he accepted playing a checking role & now he's being rewarded. Shows good maturity.

Moses on pace for 30PT over 68 games. He was a great find. Bring so much energy, grit & has shown he can chip in. Good summer and I could see him having a really solid season next year & be a viable OA candidate the following year.

Brown, Kostuch both on 34 PT paces (Brown a touch higher) over 68 on Sarnia. Which for 16 yr olds on a low scoring team is damn good.

Got some good things to work with at F. Wainwright, Filak, Doucette back next yr as the vets. All 20+G guys (had Wainwright been healthy.) Be some real speed too with all the guys mentioned other then Filak.

Happy to hear Moses doing well. I really liked his game in the Soo. Just a victim of numbers.
Personally one of my favorites & a lot of people's. Just such a relentless worker & does whatever it takes for the team. Easy to root foot. Wish we had him last yr vs LDN haha.

Don't see it with moses other than 3rd 4th line energy bang line. The ability to make play little lacking but that's his game similar to way which will be good fit on 3rd line and PK. Love his effort most games that alone will keep him next year I believe not sure on OA as we should be able to do better that should be top end year for us.

Doherty has earned top 9 minutes in my opinion even this year over moses more confidence and an off season of higher speed puck movement will be a good addition to top 9.

Love hall will be top 9 centerman and with moses and lominac be a pretty solid 3rd tonnes of Energy which we need.

We still NEED a big tough OA defenseman for next year like a punnett/ hache/ Mancini Dillingham type to show young guys, think we dropped ball here for this year getting schwindt over a D but kai may have helped upfront. Next year that should be off season #1 task for DS as well as stud import and D coach and a tough as Hell forward.
We would be Well on the way to all in in 2 years and possibly top 5 west next season.

Bright skies ahead in our town.

Just don't see enough on back end to compete in 2 years.
Upfront need more aswell.
Sure guys step up but going to need more IMO

The Sting D will be the strong point going forward. Our D,while young has grown substantially since the beginning of the year. Only going to improve more going forward. Definitely not as strong upfront, but potentially use D depth to strengthen or forward group in the next couple of years. Pretty happy with the direction of the team, I believe with a top pick this year and asset management the next couple of years will be a lot of fun watching the kids grow!
