Assuming that Vancouver thinks they can fix Cozens. And assuming we think we can fix EP40If Vancouver is looking for a center with term, now is the time to make the Cozens for Pettersson move

I guessed it was a confidence thing and the report posted on the board earlier today seemed to confirm it.Assuming that Vancouver thinks they can fix Cozens. And assuming we think we can fix EP40
Doing some gorilla math here:
We are 3/4 done with the NHL season.
Detroit is retaining 1.3M for 1/4 of the season, so around 325k in cash.
So, they bought a 4th round pick for 325k
Evidently, that isn't something the Sabres are able or willing to do.
I think I ready that they took EP40 off the market. If Vancouver is looking for a center with term, now is the time to make the Cozens for Pettersson move
Until the offseasonI think I ready that they took EP40 off the market.
I see it as an off season or at the draft dealI guessed it was a confidence thing and the report posted on the board earlier today seemed to confirm it.
If that’s true, Pettersson is the perfect change of scenery player. Dahlin can be his buddy. I’m sure the Sabres have cognitive performance coaches.
Edit: I’m writing this while squarely on the opinion that I’d rather not trade Cozens because I think he’s a poor man’s Kreider on the wing or Cirelli as the 3C.
Impact top line centers are hard to get.

Lindy's retiring to Montana fishing life, not being a gmAs an aside --
Trotz is why I want Lindy nowhere near the GM role. Some coaches make fine GMs. Some/most don't.
I think Lindy would be great to help hire a new gm and coach thoughAs an aside --

If that was the case, breaking the cycle would be getting guys that aren't quitters, not keeping them out of spiteI think some of the players are not playing hard so they will be traded and then they can play harder with the next team and get a nice contract
I would be okay with not trading them and let them deal with the consequences which will be less money
Sabres need to stop the cycle somehow
Does not apply to Zucker, he worked hard this year

I don’t know who it isSo, assuming that's true you'd think it would be a player with 1 year left:
Tuch
Benson
Clifton
I don’t know who it is
There are reports that the players don’t listen to the coaches
It's Hamilton. Take what he says with a grain of salt as large as he is.
Anybody who suggests trading Dahlin for Brady Tkachuk deserves the same credibility as a child with marker stains on his hands who claims the dog drew on the wall.He exaggerates, but I don't know that he's making stuff up whole cloth.
