An absolute masterclass of a 3rd period. Clinical.
Absolute domination. An absolute masterclass of a 3rd period. Clinical.
5-2. 0.913 sv%, 2.40 GAA since returning. Looks like a kid having fun & that is confident. Fricken love to see itAbsolute domination.
What a road win. I don’t mind the slow starts if that’s how we are going to finish lol.
LMAO Gaudreau just photo bombed a Kitchener fans picture at the end of the game
Such a stud. Never makes mistakes. He's a big reason y PP2 is looking so dangerous. Same for Vilmanis who's been making some great passes on it..Good game, seeing some good chemistry out there finally. And what about Ritchie, kids been playing great !
He looks so much calmer. One big thing for him has always been rebound control and that is spot on right now.5-2. 0.913 sv%, 2.40 GAA since returning. Looks like a kid having fun & that is confident. Fricken love to see it
Let's fricken go. 5 in a row. 8-2-0 in January. Only allow 2 goals or less in 8 of the 10 games. Im so impressed by this teams buy-in lately. Every guy, even the superstars are backchecking there asses off.
Though he didn't have a point I thought Voit worked his tail off. Pastujov is a superstar. DBB has found his footing here. Dcore is playing lights out & are scoring a ton. Ben has found his game.
So many things to be excited about. Hopefully it's a packed house Friday where we look to make it 6 straight Ws.
He really does. His movement, rebounds, reads have looked great. With this defence u don't have to make all these crazy saves. He looks so much calmer. One big thing for him has always been rebound control and that is spot on right now.
Funny enough I still wouldn't even say the PP has looked good. Least PP1. Doesn't feel like they are really clicking. The special teams are a huge reason for the teams recent success. The PP is at 42.9% and the PK is at 95.7% since the trade deadline. That is insane!
Not sure its the wisest thing to leave disappointment for more eventual disappointment...I'll be rooting for you guys once Rangers evidently don't make the playoffs or get swept in the first round. Heck, I'm a few losses away from just rooting for you guys now.
Disappointment is far to nice of a word to describe the catastrophic implosion we are witnessing. I'll take eventual disappointment any day.Not sure its the wisest thing to leave disappointment for more eventual disappointment...
Welcome to a hockey forum. First time?its nice to see the coaches getting some credit for the latest success after some of the real negative comments back before Christmas when injuries and other things were stopping the team from a lot of fans imagined superiority.
I knew the 3rd periods were good when I mentioned it on Tuesday but I didn’t know it was THAT good. Looking forward to this weekend & beyond.Another crazy stat for the Sting lately is over the last 6 games they have only allowed 34 (!!) Shots in the 3rd period.
Only 5 on average. That's a staggering number. In all of January (10 games) they only allowed 75 Shots which is 7.5 on average.
Most they allowed was 11 twice & 10 which were the first three games of the month. With Del Mastro in the lineup they're averaging 6 Shots against in the 3rd period.
It's been pretty ridiculous to watch honestly. They've gotten up in these games & shut the game down entirely. As of late they've shown that killer instinct too which is huge. Big test will be doing it vs some of the top teams we'll be seeing in the coming weeks. We will need to see a slight uptick in 5on5 scoring IMO but everywhere else they've been looking awesome.
Humble & hungry = a hard working, competitive machine. We've talked it up so much I am fully expecting a 3rd period meltdown tomorrow haha.
Letang spoke to the observer & he's very pleased with their play & how they've stuck to their system & game plan lately. Mentioned how they have to stay humble & hungry as well. Let's hope they can because 1: winning is fun & 2: we want a top 3 seed.
