Jim Fox doing a lot of speculating on this nationally televised game. Very odd. Not really like him to do that. Saying Regehr might retire and Toffoli might get an offer sheet. Odd, odd.

I'll throw up in my mouth if Stoll comes back at any price. He can't score, pass or win faceoffs anymore. He also takes a ton of awful penalties. He hurts the Kings in every way. I hope today is the last time we see him in a Kings sweater.

same here

we have a perfect opportunity to get younger and faster

and if we're still clinging on dead weight like Stoll and Richards we'll be in the same situation next year

also at this point, I'm not too interested in a 35 year old Robyn Regehr

if we sign Sekera and manage to keep Voynov

Doughty
Voynov
Sekera
Muzzin
Martinez
McNabb
Greene
Forbort/Miller

is fine by me

Are the Kings going to regret that Muzzin/Martinez contract? Should they have let one of them walk? We will see this summer, could be another one of Lombardi's mistakes. Martinez is going to be a $4M 3rd pairing dman.

Absolutely not. Those are more than fair prices for defensemen of their abilities. Maybe one of them gets moved because they're valuable on those contracts, but those are great deals and the least of our worries.

That's way too much money on D. 1 of Sekera, Martinez, or Voynov won't be around.

But Regher sets an example for the others, of physical hockey :(

Guys, if Sekera is staying Voynov is leaving. Do you not understand that the Kings like to play a stay at home dman and pair him with a puck moving dman?

Doughty-Scuderi
Johnson-Mitchell
Martinez-Greene

Doughty-Scuderi
Voynov-Mitchell
Martinez-Greene

Only recently did they start pairing Doughty-Muzzin but after that, it was always the same train of thought.

Sekera, Doughty, Muzzin, Voynov, Martinez.... All puck moving guys, it wouldn't make sense to keep voynov and Sekera. There wouldn't be enough money. So, please stop with that. Voynov has played his last game in a Kings uni and the Kings will hopefully get the contract voided. Would love to see this next year:

Doughty-Muzzin
McNabb-Sekera
Martinez-Greene
Forbort

I don't want Greene there but he still has 3 years left, unfortunately.

Lol kopitar keeps the streak alive. Takes a stick in the face, no call.
Hey...hey now. ...The league recognized that they missed the call in Calgary so all is good now. They can continue to miss calls as long as 3 days later they recognize it.
Bush league.....Welcome to the YMCA adult league hockey

If the Kings can't get Sekera back, I'd like to see the Kings try and sign someone like Paul Martin. The Kings had interest when he was a free agent a while back. Bringing him in on a cheap 2-3 year contract would be nice. I know he's not the same type of player as Sekera but if we lose Regehr, Paul Martin would be the perfect guy to replace him.

Wouldn't be shocked if Stoll is back mega cheap. Would be fine as a 13th forward. I'm pretty certain williams is gone. Probably Regehr too unless he pulls a Stoll.
Teams typically scratch two forwards and one D. We already have Greene or Schultz to be that D. At forward, Stoll could be one of the two. But the thing is, NEVER play him. He's there in case of emergency, like someone getting all their teeth knocked out in warmups!!! Rotate guys from Ontario all year that don't have to clear waivers, like Forbort, Mersch, Zykov, Saborin, Miller, Auger, Ebert, Gravel, etc. I think all these guys are exempt from waivers. There might be some I missed, but then you get into the group where no one is going to take them anyway, and if they do, no huge loss, like Andreoff, Bods and Loverde if we sign both. Guys that would have to clear waivers, and others would definitely take them, like Vey and now Weal, figure out if he's in the future or trade and get something for them now. But anyway, if the Kings don't take advantage of the Ontario situation next year and position their scratches and contracts accordingly, they might as well just be back in Manchester!!
