This teams inability to draw penalties despite controlling 60% of every game is baffling.
Glad to see Williams done as a King after today.
same here
we have a perfect opportunity to get younger and faster
and if we're still clinging on dead weight like Stoll and Richards we'll be in the same situation next year
also at this point, I'm not too interested in a 35 year old Robyn Regehr
if we sign Sekera and manage to keep Voynov
Doughty
Voynov
Sekera
Muzzin
Martinez
McNabb
Greene
Forbort/Miller
is fine by me
Today’s game against the San Jose Sharks is important. Not in the standings. Not for any playoff position.
Today’s L.A. Kings game against the San Jose Sharks is our fan base’s opportunity to pick our team up, dust them off and give them love, praise, adoration and respect they have earned.
So many times our L.A. Kings have risen to the occasion when they were down and what all assumed were defeated. They have never given up, they refused to surrender and went through walls to bring home two Stanley Cups. They have done their part. Now, it’s our turn to do so.
Justin Williams may never play another game in an L.A. Kings sweater.
This is very likely Jarret Stoll’s last game with us.
Robyn Regehr may retire or move on to another team.
Trades will likely happen in the offseason.
I loved this core. I love this core. No matter what happens tomorrow, yesterday, today and forever, we love our Kings.
Show it.
Played big role in both cups. I still remember the trade that got him to LA, for Patrick O'Sullivan. Man, I was so angry. I thought O'Sullivan was a big part of the core, does anyone else remember that?
But yes, the time is up for JW. Any opposing GM watching Williams will know not to give him a big contract, he just doesn't deserve it anymore.
Cap will prohibit all this. Unless you want all AHL forwards!
What a huge missed opportunity to not trade him at the deadline and get something decent back in return.
I remember that very well. Most fans were moaning the blues because they felt that JW was so injury prone,he'd be useless. Oh, how wrong the werePlayed big role in both cups. you know i'm just replacing Regehr with Sekera right?
I wanted him gone back then. I was really upset when he wasn't traded.Agreed, but we both would've done the same thing in DL's position. Hindsight is 20/20.
Most inspirational King was Matt Greene? What?
He's living proof that any of us may some day be able to play in the NHL.

You're forgetting Muzz and Martinez don't have AAV of $4 each until next year, which really is like taking on a different player. The combined cap hit increases from 2.1 to 8.0.you know i'm just replacing Regehr with Sekera right?
and if we shed Williams and Stoll we're replacing them with Shore and Weal...

Over the years, Matt Greene has shed a lot of blood for this team. Never was a slacker.Look at Sutters comments about him. Everyone here hates him but the Kings love him because he'll go through a brick wall with two broken legs.
