Team beat reported that he's recovering from back spasms quite well and might see game time next week. I would think he skates by himself on Sunday, and then gets a team practice in before the game on Wednesday, which is ideally when he comes back.

Had a good start to the season. Hope he can keep it up once he comes back.

I don't know about explode, but he did have an assist ten minutes into his first game back. It was on the PP, puck scramble in the crease, kicks it out to Ziba who sets Zucc up for an easy goal. He's been really good so far this season, haven't really noticed much of an adjustment period yet offensively, although maybe some struggles defensively, but I'm not really expecting like 60 or 70 points in his rookie season. I think he'll put up around .5PPG. Within a few seasons though, he might be our best forward. The potential is there.

playing on fourth line.

First line with Ziba and Zucc

Huh?

He's playing on the 1st line with Zibanejad and Zuccerello.

Do you actually get your lineups from NHL.com?

Is that actually considered the 1st line? I thought that Nash Stepan and Vesey would be considered the first line.

Not trying to nitpick. just curious.

Do you even have a real 1st line (not trying to be insulting towards the rangers)? But Vesey-Stepan-Nash would seem to have just as much claim to that as the line you listed.

1A/1B or 2A/2B whatever you want to call it. Top 6 regardless.

Played nearly 18 minutes today, 17:40 to be exact. Second most for a Ranger forward. There's been some talk that he'll go down to the third line once everyone's healthy, but I don't know how you can do that. 2 points through 3 games, playing well, coach's are trusting him to be one of the top forwards.

And break up the Kreider, Zib, Buch line?

First i've heard of that.

Beat reporters are speculating it. The problem is that we have two good lines, KZB and Vesey-Stepan-Nash, but where does that have Zucc playing? Where did Buch play today? The spot that Kreider usually plays. I don't know what they'll do, but thats what I think. Playing with Hayes and Miller isn't such a bad thing, I just hope his ice time doesn't go down to like 11 or 12 minutes per game.

It's very obvious Zucc goes to the 3rd line to actually make that a good line. The Buch/Zib/Kri line was the most dominate line by far when they were together. AV is not messing that line up....yet.

And listening to the "beat writers" really man? Our beat writers don't know their ass from their elbow

With so many great youngsters in the league Buchnevich hasn't been in the spotlights, but he's 3+4 after 9. And he's 3+2 in the last 3 games... And all beign on the 4th line. Of course, he's got 2 PP points, but they're the only 2 Rangers' PP goals in those games, because the team's PP doesn't look that great.

He moved up later on in the game. He's been our best player the last few games.

He's been good all season. Looks much better than he did last season. If he had been getting luck with the puck going in the net the first few games, he could be over 1PPG so far.

Right now he's fifth in the NHL for rookies in PPG of those who have played more than a game or two. Those ahead of him are Laine, Werenski, Nylander and Matthews.

Hope the KZB line won't lose the chemistry they had at the season's start.

He's not getting as many SOG's as I expected. Those 4 have been incredible when it comes to SOG's. But still good company to be in

I think it's mostly because he's trying to be the set up man a lot. He's spent the majority of his time on the same line as Pirri and Fast at ES, so he's very likely trying to set up Pirri a lot. And then on the PP, same thing, except setting up players like Zibanejad and Kreider.

Wonder when he'll start to become a little more selfish and take a few more shots. He has a good one. He should use it a bit more.

But that might also have to do with how comfortable he feels out there. He seems to be getting more comfortable lately, so he might start shooting more.
