Can make ~1.7M by demoting Shore and Broberg. Anything beyond that would need to see a player leave.Gregor said the Oilers have zero cap space ight now

Agreed to play behind Nurse, Ekholm, Kulak, Broberg. He'll be a good AHL producer with no chance to break in the Oilers lineup. Whereas RD there might be a path for a 6'5" two-way defender who can skate.Good thing we brought back an offensive prospect defender with NHL experience.
They don't have to waive Shore, they can just send him downEven if the team could get Sheary @50% and waive Shore, it would make me feel more confident about our wingers. He would probably have more success in the top 6 than Yamamoto.

It amazing not even the great one had 5 straight multi goal games. And the Mc is that is playing like a 90s Mario Lemieux
Skate where? Like why are we treating him like a 1st round pick 2 years into his pro career? I'm happy he's developing and it sucks to have to move him, but man, tons of these guys exist on teams all over the league.Agreed to play behind Nurse, Ekholm, Kulak, Broberg. Maybe. Neither guy is an NHL player and probably never will be.Agreed to play behind Nurse, Ekholm, Kulak, Broberg. He'll be a good AHL producer with no chance to break in the Oilers lineup. Whereas RD there might be a path for a 6'5" two-way defender who can skate.
Hell he's only the 3rd player to do it in 100 yearsIt amazing not even the great one had 5 straight multi goal games.
Now now half the young whippersnappers here have never seen a team that can win it all. Like you said we’ve been so bad for so long we hold on to our prospects like grim death.Maybe. Neither guy is an NHL player and probably never will be.
We have been bad so long people obsess over our low end prospects.
Yep one more time and he ties the NHL recordHell he's only the 3rd player to do it in 100 years
It's not about obsession. Anybody can be traded to improve this team at this stage of development. Not a great asset move in a weak prospect pool to flip a young, emergent 6'5" right shooting defense prospect to shave $500,000 on a journeyman, sub $1million bottom UFA NHL roster player.Maybe. Neither guy is an NHL player and probably never will be.

Pretty sure we could still call him up for the playoffs though right? The one shitty thing is Holloway is basically locked into the AHL unless someone hits LTIR.
They can only afford to swap Shore for someone making $850k or less.
It’s putting so much thought and worry into nothing…especially since we brought a prospect back too. Better players than Kesselring have been added into nothing trades. Oil still need draft and prospect collateral for future moves to improve this team. I'd have kept a prospective breakout Kesselring for a better improvement opportunity while letting his raw game continue to develop in Bako.
I think they want Holloway to play down there till the playoffs, maybe gain some confidence. The one shitty thing is Holloway is basically locked into the AHL unless someone hits LTIR.

edit: Lavoie too. He's at $870k.
You hope the east is a big enough bloodbath that whoever makes it out alive is pretty battered and bruised compared to the west.I'm convinced it's damn near enough to get through the West (assume stew and soup hold up enough). How it compares to the East, who knows, but getting through the West is step one
That Bloom kid for Stillman, who's terrible, was a prospect of concern for the Sabres not long ago. It’s putting so much thought and worry into nothing…especially since we brought a prospect back too. Better players than Kesselring have been added into nothing trades. Happens often
Agreed this is what contenders do. We should get used to it now so we know what to expect for the next few years and hopefully longer.I think they want Holloway to play down there till the playoffs, maybe gain some confidence.
Holloway is out at least another ~2-3 weeks. They're not going to recall him until after the Reg. season ends. The one shitty thing is Holloway is basically locked into the AHL unless someone hits LTIR.
