Flyers should think about getting Tyanulin to NA. A smallish guy, but very fast and good skater overall and gritty as well. IQ, hands and shot are ok too. Can be a good 3rd liner, and they are friends with Michkov. Another thing Tyanulin played in NA for 5 years earlier in his career so he doesn't need to learn language and culture.

This organization could not win a "heads I win tails you lose" coin flip. Unbelievable. Lets' examine the evidence......
  • get a steal of a defensemen in the 6th round - throat sliced open in a freak boating accident
  • lose a Vezina caliber goalie to a car accident
  • Oskar Lindblom coming into his own -- cancer
  • trade everything but the kitchen sink for all world Lindros only to find out, for all his skill, he can't skate with his head up
  • Worst record in the league by a wide margin only to get the 2nd OA pick in a 1-player draft
  • Gifted a #2 OA. Maybe our luck is changing. Nope. Flyers being Flyers blow it. They go for the injury prone (and he was injury prone before the NHL), big Canadian
  • #5OA pick does not want to be associated with the organization
  • and now Michov
What am I leaving out? Or are all organizations like this?
Franchise goalie has possibly played his last NHL game.

Tyanulin was one of the elite Russian 1997s as a youth. Then he went to the OHL an everything fell apart.
It's good to see him starting to get at least some of his mojo back.

Not quite sure Tyanulin is NHL level...

but from speaking to him can vouch for him being seemingly a lovely guy.

Also, he used to play with Konecny and Fazleev is one of his best friends.

Not a good period by Michkov, he's -3.
1st goal, he tried to leave d-zone early twice, resulted in a goal against, looked like too much cheating even for him. 2nd goal, made a bad pass in o-zone and then was way behind the play. 3rd goal, again was chasing the play (pretty slowly) at the end it looked a bit like Ovechkin's "controller disconnected" moment.

Jeez, horrible turnover leads to another goal against, -4. By far the worst Michkov's game I ever wached.

Maybe he's not ready to play back-to-back games yet

On record with Torts. 1st NHL game deferred due to benching....

i cant remember if it was the 2nd or 3rd goal but he was just coasting into the zone on the backcheck and his guy ended up scoring from 2 feet away from him lol, he could have broken that play up if he wasnt lazy there. thats a bad habit. maybe its conditioning. hopefully its just conditioning right now.
