Well I was typing in American, not Russian.

Google says there’s a T, so I do too.

Yeah, I get that it is a language thing, just for a Russian it is the same as for an American seeing someone spelling Philly as "Filadelfia" (that's how it is spelled in Russia lol).

Yeah Italians and Euros in general spell it Filadelfia....maybe because they like Fila Wear...lol.

The place I was referring to was Uzbekistan on Bustleton. A Georgian coworker recommends Georgian Bread, also on Bustleton, as most authentic Georgian.

Wouldn't doubt if his symptoms stem from Long-Covid. Ramifications from Team Russia not taking things seriously at the height of the pandemic.

This organization could not win a "heads I win tails you lose" coin flip. Unbelievable. Lets' examine the evidence......
  • get a steal of a defensemen in the 6th round - throat sliced open in a freak boating accident
  • lose a Vezina caliber goalie to a car accident
  • Oskar Lindblom coming into his own -- cancer
  • trade everything but the kitchen sink for all world Lindros only to find out, for all his skill, he can't skate with his head up
  • Worst record in the league by a wide margin only to get the 2nd OA pick in a 1-player draft
  • Gifted a #2 OA. Maybe our luck is changing. Nope. Flyers being Flyers blow it. They go for the injury prone (and he was injury prone before the NHL), big Canadian
  • #5OA pick does not want to be associated with the organization
  • and now Michov
What am I leaving out? Or are all organizations like this?

You are leaving out plenty unfortunately.....the Eminger trade because he was an NHL ready defensemen and played well in one playoff series and had a RHD shot was one of Holmgren's most idiotic overthought moves. We needed defensemen and would have drafted Carlson if he wasn't such a fool. But hey he gave Gritty his namesake..

This kid likely has scarlet fever. I'm shocked he's still alive. It absolutely isn't anything else other than a chronic, long term illness everyone needs to panic about that has suddenly appeared after having mono, something that kept Coots (and probably some of us) feeling like garbage for months on end in our late teens/early 20s.

On second thought, it could be cystic fibrosis

Wasn't there a stretch starting with Lindros where all of of captains (1994 - 2007) had concussions or other significant injuries?

Lindros - concussion
Desjardins - concussion
Primeau - concussion
Forsberg - ankle & concussion
