Matvei cooking SKA is glorious. f*** them and their stupid policies of glorifying KHL nobodies at the expense of future NHL superstars. As pathetic as it sounds, he won't be the first major NHL award winner they've done this to.

I think he's the best player in the KHL this season. I felt bold saying this when SKA was sitting him, but he's on another planet from KHL guys. It's been confirmed this season. He's playing at the level he should be to expect him to continue progressing into one of the best players in the world eventually.

His hockey sense and offensive ability are all-world already. The KHL is the second best league, but a league of NHL rejects. To think these guys can keep up with him in those categories now that he's not that young for the league anymore is preposterous.

When he gets to the NHL, there will only be a few that can keep up with him, and eventually he could become the best.

From the IQ, playmaking standpoint, yes. He needs to figure out his issue with the flex rating on his stick. Because it's holding back his shot velocity. Kaprizov had a better shot at the same age. But the good news is if Michkov just uses a bit of a lower flex rating his shot velocity and likely even his release speed would improve dramatically

Michkov and his team did the right thing pushing Rotenberg to loan him out to Sochi again. Michkov knows what's best for him and he's never subtle about it.

I was one of the doubters and felt initially that Michkov should have stuck to the plan and waited for the opportunity with SKA. The nice approach, you know. But Michkov doesn't believe in being nice. He knows he's special. He knows he's already the best. He doesn't just talk shit, he backs it up. All the power to him.

It's f***ing weird that Ivan Drago is the guy that's going to bring the Cup back to Philly
