Will Borgen and a first round pick (26th) VS picks 15 AND 16?
Is this Frank breaking a trade or is he just speculating wildly like us?
Why don't the Leafs and Seattle make the Knies deal instead of going through Dallas?
They want too much

Guess I'm showing my age with Robertson rejecting 120 million dollars because, I remember when an 8 yr 15 million contract TOTAL would of been considered a lot of money.
He didn’t turn down the money. He turned down Seattle. Someone else is going to pay him either that or similarGuess I'm showing my age with Robertson rejecting 120 million dollars because, I remember when an 8 yr 15 million contract TOTAL would have been considered a lot of money.
Seattle just implemented a millionaire tax. Texas doesn’t have any state tax. Pretty easy decline.Guess I'm showing my age with Robertson rejecting 120 million dollars because, I remember when an 8 yr 15 million contract TOTAL would have been considered a lot of money.

My understanding is that Chicago is among several teams that have also inquired about Robertson, doing its due diligence at the very least.
Or - it’s just the Rangers involved and someone is trying to use the blues angle (and all of their first round assets) to drive up the price on Drury.Based on the reports it feels 100% like Rangers are being used to extract the max possible out of St Louis (or an unnamed 3rd team).
Rangers don’t leak, and the massive media heads said this first but with no follow up after. Then our beat writers basically say they got nothing.
The Blues aren’t just looking for talented young players, though. They’re looking for help at center.
Robert Thomas is the clear-cut No. 1 there, but having McTavish could ease the burden on Dalibor Dvorsky, who was the No. 10 pick in 2023.
Dvorsky, 21, played his first full NHL season in 2025-26 and showed glimpses of excellence with 12 goals and 21 points in 71 games. He also tied Jimmy Snuggerud for the team lead in power-play goals with five.
Having McTavish and Dvorsky in the middle on the second and third lines would strengthen the position.
Honestly, if I'm Anaheim, I take the Blues offer and see if you can get the Ruck twins. Will Borgen and a first round pick (26th) VS picks 15 AND 16?
Just read the Anaheim version of this thread. It is EERIE. The way they talk about McTavish is exactly the same as the way we talk about Schneider. The only two consistent viewpoints over there is that they are all mostly glad to be getting rid of him and they all recognize that the 5th overall would be a stupid expectation. At the same time, several of them think they can get Gavrikov+. Some of them expect Lafreniere. One of them wanted Fox. One wanted Scheider AND Cuylle. The more I look at it, the more Schneider for McTavish straight up makes the most sense. I also feel like they are trying to work the media to get Drury to bargain against himself and put more $$ in the pot.
