I got a feeling that a deal might be brewing between Edmonton and the Sabres. Vinnie at 50 percent for puljavardi from Edmonton. Sabres add a fourth
They trading Hino to make a roster spot... probably just a pick for Vinnie

Considering how many teams are in cap hell we should be in a good position as buyers. We don't need our trading partner to retain nor involve a 3rd party.

Ask on the available players might still be stupid but we should be in a good position for negotiations.

We're also in a great position to be a money sink if teams need it. Should be able to get a few picks for retaining money if needed/called upon.

we have only 3 retentions that we can do.

do we try to retain on Hino vs what you can get as a pass thru middleman for that retention slot.

there are not many teams with the cap space to do pass thru deals

thry could take back a cap dump/ contract and bury them

Get Joker off the second pair and see if he can help that atrocious third pair. He adds nothing that Clague couldn’t do in the spot anyway. It’s just the guy Power is carrying all year because a real player costs money.

mitts, get the f*** off my team.

Comrie…I don’t even know where to start but he’s managing to damage the team without even playing because they have to juggle things for him to sit on the bench. Fire him into the sun already. Hope someone claims him so we are forced to add someone else next year. God I can’t think of a better scenario than another team forcing this cheap, bullshit, loser organization to NOT go with Comrie/UPL next year. It would be a blessing.

The most frustrating part of this season is that some of the stuff you could do to upgrade the roster wouldn't cost that much in terms of draft capital or assets. Like, recognize that Boosh is a penalty magnet and Bryson sucks and get a decent 3rd pairing defenseman in here to avoid wearing down Dahlin, Sammy, and Power. Maybe don't go into the season with your starting goalie tandem being a 41 year old and a career backup.

Clague with Power was slanted toward offensive zone starts. Jokiharju with Power is more balanced and eases the Dahlin pair from having to handle as much of it. The problem is still that Power gets beat on 50-50 battles because he's not that strong at his size yet. Shuffling pairs around and giving others harder matchups so Clague gets some great fancy stats as Power's offensive zone caddy doesn't seem to be an actual fix.

For the 100th f***ing time.

Clague with Power gets much easier mintues. How can you keep posting crap that’s completely detached from reality.

Power/Joker - 245mins
CF% —-> 48%
xGF% —> 48%
GF ——> 14
GA ——> 13
SV% —-> .913
SH%——> 11.5%
OZS% —> 43%

Power/Clague - 156mins
CF% —> 57%
xGF% -> 48%
GF —--> 6
GA ——> 9
SV% —> .875
SH% —> 7.6%
OZS% -> 69%

Joker plays much tougher deployment with Power and has better overall stats with him.

But sure Clague is better.

I don’t know why I bother. This fourm just loves to feast on the bullshit which is the stock and trade of most of your posts. .

Need to tweak the team now. Trade or waive Bryson/Comrie. Hinostroza for Jack Johnson. Vegas 2nd + Biro for Luke Schenn. That's enough to shake up the team and stabilize the defense.

Puljujärvi is close to negative value at this point. How about a Pulju+6th round pick - Hinostroza swap?
Since he's playing in Edmonton I've hardly watched him in the nhl but shouldn't Pulju be a decent extra player/4th liner?

Fabbro is a guy that probably sounds great in theory and then quickly turns into a fan whipping boy if they add him.

2 Sabres on the list and one in the honrable mentions.

Not bad.
It shouldn’t stop a trade.

Every D will have his whipping boy time, to a degree. A player can be doing well and fans / Twitter analysts will have other ideas.

Or, they become a whipping boy because they are not good at hockey.

Preds fans have been really down on Fabbro for a while. I would not have a lot of confidence that he comes here and improves the team.

He is trending up, though. Like any trade, it would all come down to what they want for him.

They may lose 6 out of their next 7 leading into the break.

I'm giving them a win against the Ducks, but we all witnessed last night so who knows.

They do play the Islanders with them having played the Bruins the night b4 so there's that.

I’ve asked on the Preds boards, and fans generally are clueless on why Fabbro isn’t with Josi anymore.

If KA's talked to every team and a deal isn't done for Hino, that can't be a good sign??? How hard is it to swap a 6th for 50% retained?

KA trying to get a 2nd. :)

He's a bottom-line forward who doesn't bring any physicality at all and worse avoids physicality at times. It'd take a team with a specific need for speed to be interested.

Plus, Adams is working WITH Hino. This could very much be a case of he'd rather sit in Buffalo and not play than be shipped off to a team like Seattle (as an example). He's got a couple of young children that he's said he wants to be close to, which is why he chose to re-sign here.

Adams is doing right by Hino.......and that stuff matters in the long run as regards free agents and guys waiving NTCs to come here.

Hinostroza moving is probably to a team like Chicago or Columbus since the comments are about getting him playing time. That also puts him closer to his parents and if it were Chicago, home. Future considerations or some sort of late draft pick to make it happen and hopefully for Hino, he does enough there to get a look for a future NHL deal.
