Its not hate, hes just been significantly worse this year as has Pulock. Pelech I am more confident that he'll find his game again, Pulock who knows, guy is just a waste of what could be an elite shot from the point.

"Hate" in the sense of how all the cool kids use it... meaning "undue criticism" or something to that effect. Despite how he has played it still undue criticism. I disagree with any suggestion to trade him. Even in a full rebuild, I would keep him over any other player. He would serve as the vet presence to shelter prospects.

Lindholm wasn't a top pairing D-man last year on Anaheim either. Now he is part of why a Boston team treading water. looks like world beaters. You can take that view on Pelech, but if you eliminate context you run the risk of undervaluing a player strictly because of other issues.

I’ll add this besides his worth to the Isles as a top tier player. He has the best contract value-wise for a player in his UFA years on the team.
