Pointing out that a good roster doesn’t completely nosedive when there’s a few injuries makes one suicidal? You really need to step back from the ledge

If you think that's the worst, try Year One, then some of the Milbury yearsColorado is at least trying. They had the injury excuses and their star player at least carried filth. What is Barzal's excuse? I love mat but my god, someday he has to put on his big boy pants. Im not trying to sound jealous or whiny, i'm saying that Colorado has still been able to stick around and they'll still make the playoffs, and even if they fail they still did something the isles couldn't: beat tampa for a cup.
right now we are literally having a rerun of 2018. Its almost identical to the garbage of Doug Weight hockey.
I do worry at times about some of the 'sky is falling' commentsPointing out that a good roster doesn’t completely nosedive when there’s a few injuries makes one suicidal?
well im not that old. if anything i've been spoiled by the past few seasons. mediocrity is probably the worst hell you could imagine for a team like us, even if the years we were bad, they absolutely whiffed on picks. If you think that's the worst, try Year One, then some of the Milbury years
Only one team ends the season happy. Enjoy what goes well, sigh over what goes wrong.well im not that old. if anything i've been spoiled by the past few seasons. mediocrity is probably the worst hell you could imagine for a team like us, even if the years we were bad, they absolutely whiffed on picks.
Look at the players that didn’t get injured and are playing this entire time - those same players are seen as the keepers in a rebuild.but to just fall off a cliff without three players is even worse. just terrible.
Makar and Toews were MIA for the first 5 weeks of the season.Look at the players that didn’t get injured and are playing this entire time - those same players are seen as the keepers in a rebuild.
That rebuild will go nowhere. Same with a retool with those players.

It's essentially the same team , so one should not expect that what we seen back then would be virtually what we might see now. Trotz extruded as much as he could from a team devoid of scoring and depth and unfortunately the GM isn't sure he should break it up because that would mean he would be wrong !right now we are literally having a rerun of 2018. 0 Goals in 19 games and you want to claim him? WHY???May not be very popular decision, but I wonder if Isles claim Hinostroza. They could use his speed and it is an expiring contract under 2m they have the cap space to do it.
Having Hinostroza could be a way to have Beau play with Maty.
Makes one feel good. Two weeks later, complain about claiming him and ask for Leddy, Eberle, etc.0 Goals in 19 games and you want to claim him? WHY???
Sounds like he fits right in. Put him on the power play.0 Goals in 19 games and you want to claim him? WHY???
Oh, go fry something in your double-wide!Me: Time to blow this team up.
Lou: Time to ship out our 23 1st rounder and one of Raty/Dufour in an attempt to make the playoffs.
This is my least favorite timeline
If there’s one silver lining here, it’s that we should be able to still get a very very good prospect around the 10-12 area. We might not be able to Tank Hard for Bedard or Play Silly for Fantilli but we can still Succ for But and I for one would be quite pleased with that.and now we're too far from any possible tank, but also too close to a "playoff" berth. its frustrating to just be in that middle ground.
You're keeping Palms?? He should be one of the first ones out the door if a retool is on the books. So much to digest from all the comments here and this teams recent slide. My preferred bottom 9 next season.
Parise CC Fasching
Holmstrom JGP Wally
Top 6
Lee Nelson upgrade
upgrade. Barzal Palms
bold of you to assume lamoriello won't just trade the pick on another mid player. He did it for Schneider, he did it for Romanov, and he'll do it one more time.If there’s one silver lining here, it’s that we should be able to still get a very very good prospect around the 10-12 area. No one is taking that bum off our hands unfortunatelyYou're keeping Palms?? He should be one of the first ones out the door if a retool is on the books.
EXECUTED being the word that stands out over here!!It's clear we can't compete. Time for the firesale. Correctly executed we could be back in contention in 2 years. Out from cap help, prudent signing and solid picks. It has happened before....

correct. Isles Norway has stated that several times and he is very wise in that hypothesis!so we're in no mans land then

and it barely helped the devils go anywhere. my concern is that he'll do it again.Schneider was not a middle player when that trade was made, it only occurred because Vancouver wanted to accommodate Luongo:

Those were the 3 years prior to the Luongo trade with the Panthers. If that's middling, you need to call Sorokin that too.
