Hope Lou plans to upgrade the team. They have shown they can play with anyone. Would like to is get the guy that gets us over the top. Rags have already cleared cap space in preparation. Hopefully Lou isn’t last to the show.

Looking ahead, Isles need to close out this month strong. No slip ups here.
Oct 5-4
Nov 9-4 (back to back vs Philly)

December is going to be much tougher schedule wise with a hard 9-game stretch against mostly very good teams at the end of the month.

I would not change much now. At the halfway point on Jan 8 I think we will know if this team is for real.

I was being facetious, cause everyone’s always saying how we need a wing for Barzal, and that’s why he’s not elite.
Sorry would love this kid I look at Huges in NJ and hope we hold onto our draft picks in the hopes of a finding a star player

Need to save that cap space for whatever 30 year olds Lamoriello is going to bring in at the deadline.

Josh Bailey couldn’t score in a woman’s Prison with a handful of weekend passes

Honest question here: Who is the best fit of a winger for Barzal not on the Isles? Not who is the best, but fit wise? The guy is at the top of assist leaders and I know he can be tough to play with, but is ubber talented.

Or, is he the best winger for that top line and have Nelson or a Horvat at the C spot?

Quick observations a quarter of the way in. Pageau has been fantastic at the dot and Parise as someone else mentioned, is the one of the best values in the league. Thanks Wild for writing him the big checks so he can take league minimum. I truly wanted Parise on the 4th line instead of MM at the start of the season.

Timo Meier. Only 25 years old. Proven 30+ goal scorer on pace for over 40 this year. Rumored to be available

Nelson would work with Horvat at C where Nelson is now

I was advocating for Gaudreau as a nice fit

That seems reasonably sustainable, right?
