Not lending any credence considering the source, but Kerfoot is a skilled, versatile guy and would actually be a good get. His negative is lack of size, but we have enough of that. Not sure how they'd make the money work? Wahlstrom and a pick with AZ retaining some?

I see that Kerfoot is currently playing in AZ's game.

Yeah makes sense, we’ve been scouting sens forever and a guy like Joseph also makes sense. Kerfoot is playing tonight which is unusual for guys about to be moved. I don’t think it’s happening unless he’s pulled from game tonight.

Buchnevich?
Yeah, I guess.

Just read the Armstrong wants two firsts for him or a 1st and a 1st equivalent prospect. Means he's in no hurry to move him and can just do it during the summer or next trade deadline. I'm hoping LL doesn't overpay for a guy like that, but you never know. A 1st and Wahsltrom is okay, but doubt Armstrong views Wahlstrom as a 1st rounder anymore.

Joseph is a good one. Good speed and plays an all around game.

Would love to add Buchnevich, but at that price. I think they'll keep him.
Not sure I would want to trade a 1st for Vatrano.

Still hoping for Pinto, but I can see the old man standing pat.

I wonder if the Blues would do a Wahlstrom for Torpochenko

Think Wahlstrom is traded for a pick but that’s really it.

No but I’m thinking more of a scenery change for the player. He doesn’t have future here.
I absolutely expect Lou to move Wahlstrom. If not this deadline, then definitely the offseason.

Moreover, I think Lou isn’t even as concerned about asset return as much as giving Wahlstrom another chance to succeed.

This is why Lou is always spoken highly of by players that he himself has traded or released. Because they recognize that he genuinely wants them to do well… here or there.

Armstrong would possibly like Bolduc
1st + Bolduc / Buchnevich retention

Crikey, Why would they trade him of all people? Don't get me wrong, I'd love that.

NYI need to do something to address the bottom line/PK. Toffoli doesn't do it. Buchnevich can do everything, and would push everyone else down, so sure. But NYI don't have the assets.

Kerfoot continues to make some sense, although the $ for the extra year is too much. But a bottom-6er who can play C or W and PK is imo a must.

He throws whatever at the wall. Probably read it on here that it makes sense (it does), and produced a rumor. But it still makes some sense.

Eklund likely got the rumor from you on here... do you happen to be a Dippin' Dots vendor? :sarcasm:

What are the most pressing needs for this team as constructed right now?
2nd Line Center
Scoring Winger
another PMD

-who is out there available?
-what resources do we have to acquire them?

seems pretty limited right now, but you never know with LL

So most of who is left are wingers. Toffoli and Reilly Smith are in division so unlikely (although Guentzel did just go to Carolina). Then there's the former Isles in Eberle and Okposo - honestly wouldn't mind seeing Kyle back here on the fourth line. Then there are the dudes with term like Buchnevic and Vatrano who likely cost an arm and a leg.

Honestly, with the lines working right now I'm not sure a medium Reilly Smith or Eberle trade makes much sense. I think they probably go small with an Okposo type or do nothing at all. I don't think they are the pieces for Buch or Vatrano so I'd be pretty surprised if they land them.

FWIW, since Roy has been here we have 3 "wingers" with 8 goals apiece in 17 games in Barzal, Nelson, and Palmieri - that's about a 40 goal a year pace. Horvat has 7 in that time as well. 2C seems like the biggest need by far, although that new Pageau/Lee/Palmieri line has looked great.
